Jean sat under the tree at windrise deep in thought , this was part of the Grand master’s routine...sitting by the tree and silently reflect and sometimes try to study the symbols carved into it intently , desperately trying to decipher them to get closer to understanding Lady Vennessa , the first grand master of mondstadt

The blonde haired lady paced around the age old tree , however today much closer , tracing her fingers along the intricate carvings

That was when a chest suddenly emerged from inside the tree

“ Lady Vennessa you are full of surprises “ She giggled walking over to the chest , opening it carefully as if it were made of glass, inside stood a book and an old journal

“ no...this couldn’t be..” She whispered , secretly hoping it was what she thought as she flipped the worn out leather book in her hands

‘ Property of Vennessa ‘ It read on the first page , she closed the book swiftly holding it close to her chest , she looked over to the other book , it’s front cover faded but contents remained readable , it seemed as if it were the biography of Lady Vanessa written by an unknown writer 

“ i dont believe it ! I must bring these back for lisa to examine “ Jean exclaimed in excitement grabbing the books tightly and bolted back to mondstadt to show her dear friend her new discovery

“ these are indeed dated back three hundred years ago ! jean where did you find them ? “ Lisa flipped through the pages , scanning the old yellow paged book eagerly reading every page mumbling incoherent words to herself

“ I found them in a chest inside that windrise tree “ Jean answered reading the biography eagerly

“ You should take the day off sweetie , take some time to read what was written about and by Lady Vennessa...i know you dislike taking days off but you could really learn a thing or two from these books , i can help you with your commissions today  “ Lisa suggested smiling sweetly as she handed the blonde the books

“ i shall ,  thank you so much lisa ! “ Jean gushed hugging the librarian before running into her office to read the books

Jean POV

“ Lady Vennessa lived in mondstadt three hundred years ago , she was however sadly killed in battle during a war in liyue , her body was brought back to mondstadt to be burried

Her sword is rumoured to be a gift from the archons , one of the most powerful swords in existence. Many knights were sent to find and retrieve the legendary sword but all returned unsuccessful

Based on speculations around mondstadt , Lady Vennessa’s killer is none other than a warrior from Liyue , his name remains a mystery. I believe that the Qixing ( lets assume the qixing is more than 300 years old for this story ) is in possession of this weapon

I hope one day our knights are able to return the sword to it’s rightful owner buried under windrise  “ The book read , its writer's feelings could be felt through the printed text even after 300 years

The Liyue Qixing...in possession of lady vennessa’s sword ?

How could they keep it for three hundred years ! Could they be planning something with this legendary sword ? I must arrange a meeting with lady ningguang and see if she has anything to say about this matter

I am not returning to mondstadt without that sword , if they really are hiding something sinister i will have no choice but to become the liontooth knight

" Lady Ningguang i hope you are not hiding anything " i mumbled leaving my office

“ Lisa gather Kaeya and Amber , we are heading to Liyue tonight “

“ oh ? And why is that ? Are we going over for tea ? “ She asked tilting her head in confusion of the sudden arrangement , but excited as she rarely got the chance to leave mondstadt , let alone go to Liyue

I said nothing but showed her the last chapter of the biography on lady vennessa

“ the liyue qixing is in possession of her sword ? Thats unacceptable ! Warriors are supposed to be buried with thier weapons , not have the weapon stolen and handed down like some-some family heirloom ! I can imagine how devastated Lady Vennessa would feel if she knew !“ Lisa fumed balling her fists in anger

“ now is not the time to be angry , lisa , we must gather the other knights and head for the jade chamber at sundown , i have arranged a meeting with Liyue’s tianquan Ningguang “ i instructed , comforting the angry librarian

“Y-yes understood” She nodded leaving the library to find her comrades
