Knuckles POV:

When Tails asked that, Shadow and I looked at each other

Knuckles: -mouths- We're screwed

Shadow nodded his head, I then looked over to the entrance to the shrine, and saw the gang right there, they were relived to see Tails alive. You would think that everyone would be relived that Tails was alive and well, well they did, but Amy, which worried Shadow and I

Cream: You're alright!

Tangle: You scared us half to death!

Rouge: Don't do that again hun

Silver: I'm so glad your alright Tails!

Zero: Don't play on us like that again!

Maria: Thank Chaos your alright

Amy: Wait..... we're Sonic?

Shadow and I looked at each other and gulped, how are we going to explain to them?!

Shadow: -sight- Might as well

Tails: What are you talking about?

Knuckles: Well.... remember when we revived Maria?

Everyone: Yep

Knuckles: I small detail I didn't mention, since I dint think we would need to do this again.... that Maria was going to be the only time that he was going to do it for free....

Blaze: -worried- What does the mean?

Tails: Wait... your not saying.......

I nodded, Tails stared to well tears in his eyes, the others were confused

Amy: What do you mean?!

Tails: I-It means.... S-Sonic's g-gone

Third POV:

Everyone looked over to Knuckles and Shadow

Shadow: It was a life for life situation, Sonic insisted that it would be him, he was willing to do whatever it took to save him, even if ti meant his own end.

Tails was now sitting with his head on his knees sobbing

Tails: I-I'm so sorry everyone, its all my fault!

Amy went up to him, everyone was worried about how she would react.... but she started comforting the cub

Amy: It's not your fault, in all cases, it's the illnesses fault

Tails chuckles a bit, but he soon realized something, usually he never has an urge to stand up since he can't stand up on his own, but now, he does have an urge

Tails: We should probably get out of here, I know we all just found out Sonic.... died...... -shakes head- but we can't let that get us down! I may have not have known him for long, but I do now this, he wouldn't want us to mope around while Eggman is trying to take over the world!

Everyone looked at everyone and nodded, they all knew he was right, Sonic wouldn't want them to mope around, so they won't, everyone got up.

Tails held onto the nearest thing and started trying to get up, but to his surprise, it wasn't as difficult as it would usually would be, when he let go of the thing that was holding him, he was standing perfectly fine, everyone was surprised that curing the illness would mean that he can finally walk normally

Shadow: You need walking lessons?

Tails: Nope, I kinda got the gist of walking, since I've done it before when I lost the crutch, so yeah, but I could use a little help

Cream walked over to him and put his arm around her

Cream: I'll help

Tails: -blushes- O-Ok then

Soon, as they all started to walk towards the Tornado

Tails: We should probably tell Sonic's parents, they would very much want to know what happened, but, I want to visit some mobians first, can you guys do it for me?

Everyone nodded, and they were off to do their task

-Time SKIP-

Tails left everyone to look for Sonic's parents, while Tails went to look for some mobians who he has known since forever. When he landed the plane, he got out of the plane and went to a oddly familiar house, he knocked on the door, and non other than Rosemary Prower showed up at the door, she looked around and saw her son, she widened her eyes when she realized, he didn't have his crush and was stand perfectly on his own

Tails: Hi mom.... I'm alive..... and finally well

Rosemary did hesitate to hug her son, she was sobbing at the sight of her son finally being cured, she didn't care how, but she knew that her son was finally healed form the wretched curse that is the illness. Amadeus then looked towards the door

Amadeus: Rosemary, who's at the door?

Rosemary turned to her husband and revealed their son to them

Rosemary: He's healed Amadeus, he's healed!

Amadeus widened his eyes and went to hug his son, it turned to a family group hug, it lasted a while before they lead their son into the house, Tails explained how he met Sonic, how he gave him the nickname Tails, his first encounter with Eggman, meeting the others, and everything that happened in a span of a month, his parents were impressed, but when they got to how he was healed, Tails couldn't help but let the tears fall. The comfort of his parents made his fee a bit better, soon the door knocked, Rosemary went to the door and saw Cream, Amy and Knuckles at the door.

Cream: Hello Mrs, is this Tails' house?

Rosemary: Yes it is, are you guys Cream Amy and Knuckles?

Amy: Yep! I already assume that Tails told you about

Rosemary: Why yes, would you like to come in?

Knuckles: Thank you .....

Rosemary: Rosemary

Amy: Thank you Rosemary but we need to get going, can you ask if Tails would like to come back with us?

Rosemary: I ask him

Rosemary went inside to ask Tails the question

Rosemary: Tails, a couple of our friends are here, and they would like to know if you will go along with them

Tails thought about then nodded

Tails: Sure, as much as I would love to say, I want to thank Sonic by helping save the world, but I also wanted to give you this

Tails took something off his arm and gave it to his parents

Amadeus: Your arm cannon?

Tails: I can make another one, I have nothing else to give you so, I gave you the best I could

Amadeus: No, it's alright, now, -playfully- go and get out of here

Tails nodded and started walking outside, with a final wave, he walked with Amy, Cream and Knuckles to the place where they would meet, then a question posed into Tangles mind

Tangle: Now what?

Tails: Now, you do what you have always been doing, save the world!

Cream: Don't forget you as well

Tails: Your right, I may not have much experience in fighting like all of you have, but one things for sure, in the end, we'll make it through

Everyone did a group hug, and after that, they all started walking away from the old past, and into the new future
