Chapter 34
The bed was one of the most comfortable things that Tyrell had ever rested on, it was incredibly soft and even though he was full of stress and worried thoughts, his exhaustion took hold of him once again and he fell straight asleep.
The next day he had wished he stayed in bed that morning. Herecieved a day in the life of the fae, more specifically the royal fae's children. It was the same as the night before except this time they got food . Apparently they would have gotten dinner the night they arrived if they had returned sooner. Though Tyrell scoffed at how stiff the schedule was, the least they could have done was prepare something small for them, or even let them in the kitchens to cook for themselves.
This was something that was frowned upon in the fae society, only the servants knew how to cook well. The other fae would create small amounts of food in order to keep them alive and healthy. He borrowed some of Acheron's clothing, Laylian insisted that he not be forced to wear the servants' clothing, as he would be treated like a servant. She insisted that he is to be treated like a friend or a guest in the royal household.
He was given nothing to do but read that day, he didn't mind reading but doing it for hours on end put a toll on his eyes and his head. He had an extremely sore head by the end of the day and he hoped that was as bad as it would get. That night he still ended up sleeping in the softest bed with a full stomach.
Though that night there was someone walking around the castle. He had a hood over his head and walked calmly through the hallways. He walked with power and purpose, straight through the front doors. He walked straight to the left and to the forest. He walked until the castle was just out of sight.
He soon entered a clearing. Someone else was already there. The figure also had a hood over their head. "I should have known I would see you soon." Addafor took his hood off as he glanced around the clearing full of death. "Brother."
The other male gave a chuckle as he also removed his hood, His blue eyes shone with mischief and his gray hair was much longer than Addafor had remembered . "It is good to see you Addafor. You have not changed one bit." Addamak mused . If someone were to stumble upon them they would seem more like father and son rather than brothers.
"I wish i could say the same for you." Addafor nodded , his gaze holding curiosity. "Though you have changed so very much over the years." He was filled with a sense of nostalgia, hsi brother looked too much like their father at this moment in time. "What brings you back here?"
Though Addafor knew why Addamak had returned, he knew of Addamak's mission in the human dimension . Though the timing could not be one of a coincidence. "You know why." Addamak gave Addafor a slightly dirty look. "The gatekeepers."
Addafor's eyes widened, he knew of his brother's mission in the human dimension. He thought that he was foolish. There was no way the gatekeepers would originate in the human dimension. Though now he had an entirely new view on humans . His opinions of humans had changed over the years. He was on their side during the splitting of the dimensions though he wasn't close with them.
"Your love for the humans has led you back here" Addafor gestured to their surroundings, meaning that it has led him back to the fae dimension. Originally Addafor thought that Addamak had left the dimension in order to live a whole new life. Away front he issues of the fae. Though Addamak left a note to him, talking of the prophecy and the legends that only he was told. It took Addafor several years to find that letter, still the bitterness had grown within him.
"I followed the gatekeeper...or gatekeepers." Addamak looked down ashamed. He was let down that he couldn't decipher if it was one gatekeeper or two which brought him to the fae dimension. He ventured to the human dimension to look for the gatekeepers and he had a feeling about Kelso and Tyrell. Though...the feeling didn't change much when the fae came into the picture. It only changed when Tyrell and Laylianw ere taken.
Addafor took notice of his emotions "You seem unsure brother."His tone was concerned, it was the first time he had seen his brother in years . He was slightly confused about what exactly had changed, He couldn't tell if Addamak's memory had worsened over the years . "Addamak tell me." He placed his hands on his brother's shoulders , his worry evident. "We can work this all out together."
Addamak sighed as he touched his brothers hands . "we shall." He reassured ominously. "When i bring Kelso and sylvester to the castle." He could see fire starting to form in Addafor's eyes. Addafor liked humans and found them interesting, he would much rather them not be in the castle. "There is going to be no nacogication on this topic." Addamak said firmly.
"why?" Addafor exclaimed with worry in his voice. "Why must they come to the castle? Going to your home is fair enough. In fact i wouldn't mind visiting with Tyrell and Laylian,i'm sure they would be thrilled. " Addafor pulled back and started to walk in circles. "But we cannot bring them to the castle, it would cause chaos!"
Addamak could see panic behind His brother's eyes. It was a rare emotion for his brother to express. Addafor was usually calm and collected. Though now he seemed almost frantic."Is there something you're not telling me?" There was no reasonable explanation which Addafor knew of which could cause such a reaction from Addafor.
"Vandkin." His voice was simple yet sharp. "Vandkin and Selltresse...they have not taken well to the human being in the castle." There was a sense of urgency in each word Addafor uttered. "Keeping them out of the castle is the best option."
Addamak was lost, he did not know what to do . "are you certain you would be able to get them out safely?"After all Laylian had just returned to the fae dimension. It is unlikely that Laidra would let Laylian out of her sights.
"It is simple." Addafor reassured. "If they are with me nothing can go wrong."
