Evelyn told them her final plan within 5 seconds and checked her watch.

40 seconds to 12 midnight......

'What? But weren't you saying we will make the guards unconscious?' Charlie looked disappointed.

'Umm....well, kind of. But first things first, take these small cracker balls and throw them as far as you can in the direction of the ram. Get the keys, unlock the gate and run and don't forget to put the keys on that chair. There, you see?' Evelyn said in a hurry and pointed towards the chair that was kept near the school exit gate where the guard used to sit.

'But we can't--' Ryan was interrupted by Evelyn.

'No! do as I say. GO!!' Evelyn insisted.

So, Ryan and Charlie had no choice other than to obey her. Then, she turned to face in the direction where the ram was. When they had been on the ram, running down to reach the garden, she had thrown a big white handkerchief in the midway of the ram. There was a distance of roughly 20 meters between Evelyn and the handkerchief, but she could see it properly. She locked her eyes on the handkerchief.

Just then a loud pop sound was heard near the ram and the guards looked in that direction. Then at once, Evelyn set to work. With her brows knitted together, she focused hard and concentrated on the handkerchief. Soon, she established a connection with it. Slowly and with full concentration she lifted her hand under full control and the handkerchief also got off the ground. It then started moving forward and backward in the air, syncing its movement with that of Evelyn's hand.

The guards noticed the handkerchief flying, and thought it was some white spot (actually the handkerchief), that maybe was created due to some shining thing. At first, they frowned and then realized someone had sprang up from the bushes, where they were heading since they had observed it earlier moving.

'Yes, that's the ghost. See the white thing. Please help me, my friends, they are unconscious. The ghost is after me, now. It almost killed my friends-Evelyn, Ryan and Charlie. You all go! Get my friends, otherwise they will all vanish.' Lisa cried.

'Hey kid, you kidding? Right? There is nothing like ghosts.' One of the guards sniggered.

'Oh yeah? Really? Then, can you tell me what's that? Huh? And my friends, I saw them. They were unconscious. Oh, my gods! See the white thing. The ghost is now, going towards our school. You of all guards, are worth nothing. Isn't it your duty to protect our school? You'll be thrown off your job right away. I'll tell the Principle, Mrs. Margaret, for sure.' Lisa gave all the guards a murderous look.

By that time, Ryan and Charlie had found the keys, and they were about to unlock the gate. Whereas, on the other hand, Evelyn was doing her best to keep the handkerchief afloat in the air. Though, from such a great distance it was giving her trouble, but she tried vigorously.

'Okay, okay! So, I think you four should go and check out, that white flying thing. While I'll stay here at the school's exit gate.' The tallest of the guard said, but the other guards disagreed with him since everyone wanted every other guard to go and he himself should stay at the gate.

Lisa got irritated. 'Fine! Totally fine. You all fight among yourself. My friends will die, some other kids will also die. And first you all will be dumped out of the school. And then I'll make sure you all rot in the jails for letting the children die, despite it being your duty' she blared at them.

'Oh no, no child. Please come down, so we must all go, I think. By the way, the gate is already locked. See--' they all looked back, from there everything looked fine and they couldn't see anyone around the gate (for Ryan and Charlie had hidden just in time).

'Well alright, let's go. Otherwise, I'm afraid of this child more.' The bald head guard said. The five guards moved forward towards the white handkerchief, which was still in the air. It had been full one minute, that the handkerchief was flying and it had totally drained Evelyn. Her head started aching and she was losing control over it. So, for the last time she gave her everything in it and with all her powers and concentration she shot it higher up and flew it onto the top of the school's roof.

The guards saw that and started running towards it and Lisa also followed them. When the handkerchief was out of the line of sight for Evelyn, the connection broke and she almost collapsed. Her head ached like hell and she started feeling drowsy and dazed. But somehow, she stood up and almost crawled towards the school's exit gate, which was already unlocked.

When she reached near the gate, taking the support of the gate, she held herself up and took out the gift box from her bag backpack. And she kept it beside the keys on the chair which was there near the gate. Then she whistled sharply and finally crossed the line of the boundary of the school campus behind her. She heard the gate locking again, which made her feel delighted.

Though Evelyn felt physically weak and mentally drained as if she had first wrestled with some fatso and then she had played the world's most difficult brain game, which she was supposed to play and win against her will. But she was aware of her surroundings. She pulled out her phone and called Ryan to know where they were.

'You see the cars parked further ahead of the school gate from where we escaped? Walk straight, for like across 7 to 8 cars, and you'll see a white SUV. We're hiding behind it' he answered. She was almost trembling now. She knew she needed rest, and if she will delay much, she would literally pass out in the middle of the road. She somehow managed to find the white SUV and just then, when she saw Ryan, her head seemed spinning and vision blurring. She remembered seeing Ryan's relieved face with a sweet smile, changing into confused face and his lips moving which had screamed something, but before it would reach Evelyn's ears, she blackout and collapsed into Ryan's arms with a satisfied look on her face.

'Holy!! She can't be dead!!' Charlie freaked.

'Shouldn't you be QUIET!?!!' Ryan glared at Charlie.

He gently and cautiously positioned Evelyn properly into his arms and put her head on his shoulders. He could feel the rhythmic waves flowing across Evelyn chest, and her lungs taking in and giving out air which made Ryan relieved a bit.

What do you think of Evelyn now?  And also give your views about her "Final plan"!

What do you think of the fact that when Evelyn crossed the boundary of the school campus, she had heard the gate locking again behind her? Who might could have done that?
