Misused and slightly Abused

Numb pain is the easiest to take
Because you get used to having your heart ache
Having felt it time and time again
Your heart already knows the end

Still you set yourself up to be used
And you get used, misused and abused
But it doesn't register
Because all you do is just for her

So you kill yourself over and over again
Ever though you know in the end you'll always be a friend
That's how's it always been
And it'll be that way to the end
Still you make extra time
And put your heart out on the line
Hoping that love is what you'll find
But it eludes you
And in the end all you ever feel is misused and abused
