This was the best news that I could have gotten. They were all German and I was the only hostage that could understand them.

However, they could easily kill me if they knew I could translate, so I had to keep quiet.

We all continued to sit as we waited for them to return with Takagi. I looked around the room and saw everyone scared, and alone.

I frowned as I tried to figure out a way out of this. However, I knew in my heart that I probably wasn't going to make it out. I sat back on the rock and began to silently pray.

Once I'm about halfway through, I hear the elevator ding. I open my eyes and see the man that was yelling at us and a few other men behind him walk out of the elevator.

"Marco's entsorgt den körper und Theo arbeitet am gewölbe. Jetzt warten wir" (Marco's disposing of the body and Theo's working on the vault. Now we wait) The dark-haired man says. I gasp and hold my hand over my mouth, knowing Takagi's dead.

I see the man swiftly turn around and lock eyes with me. I realize I screwed up and he now knows I understand their language.

"Well. Well. Well. We have a little translator." He says as walks to me and puts his finger on my chin, raising it up to look him in the eyes.

"Grab her." He says. "No! No!" I say as two men grab my arms and drag me out of the room. "Scarlett." I hear Holly say in distress. I tried to fight my way out of their grip but they were extremely stronger than me.

They pulled me into Holly's office that they were using and tied me to a chair because I wouldn't stop fighting. Their leader was sitting in Holly's chair as I sat tied down to one of the two chairs in front of her desk.

"We wouldn't want you telling our plans to the hostages now would we?" He asks as I sit tied up.

"East Berlin," I say. "What?" He practically spat at me. "No, judging by your accent I'd say you were from South Berlin. But the rest of you come off with an Eastern Berlinian accent." I say with a smirk.

I knew I had to be cocky to assert the little dominance that I could get, but not enough to get me killed.

"Correct. Miss-" He says, waiting for a response. "Schafer," I say. "Ah, A Dortmund name. Correct?" He asks. "My father moved my mother and I there when I was 5," I say. "I could speak the language fluently before my sixth birthday," I say.

"Oh really." He says as he gets close to my face and my nose almost touches his. "hübsches kleines Haustier." (Pretty little pet) He says as he caresses his hand over my cheek. "Fahr zur Holle," I say with a snarl.

"English please." He says and I feel his cool breath on my skin. "Go to hell," I say behind clenched teeth. "Soon enough." He whispers into my ear before going back to his chair.

He sits behind his desk, talking through the radio as I translate it through my head. "Das Mädchen bleibt bei mir, ich Kann sie nicht zu den Geiseln übersetzen Lassen" (The girl stays with me, I can't have her translating to the hostages) He says through the static radio. "Hans, we have a problem." I hear a voice say.

This is good, now I have his name. Hans.

"What now?" He asks. "We've got a fire alarm going off on the 32nd floor." The voice responds. "Call 911. Tell them the computer system is glitchy and there was no fire." He says. "Will do." The voice responds. "Tony, go kill whoever set that off. 32nd floor." Hans says. The blonde man nods and then runs out of the room.

"So does Hans have a last name?" I ask as I use my untied feet to spin around in my chair. "Gruber." He responds to me. "Does Miss Schafer have a first name?" He asks coolly. "Scarlett," I say. "Well, Scarlett. You are my problem for the rest of the night. Can I trust you enough to untie you?" He asks. "Will do," I say with a sarcastic tone.

I see him contemplate it for a second before he motions for the other blonde man to untie me.

I rub my wrist where they were tied up and give him a small, sarcastic smile.
