Clary's POV

We got to the mall and I laughed at the amazed look on Sky's face as she stared up at the huge building.

"Come on, Sky. Time to do some shopping." She smiled at the nickname and held onto my hand as we walked in. "Are you hungry? Or do you wanna shop and then eat?"

"Shop first."

"Okay then." I took her to Justice and let her pick out whatever she wanted. It was the same thing when we went to every other clothing store. I noticed how long her hair was and shook my head. "Do you want to get your hair done? We could get it cut and then styled. Would you like that?"

"Yes, please." I smiled and took her to the hair salon inside the mall. Once her hair was cut and her belly was full of food, we headed home.

"Jace, don't put that there! If she wants to paint her room, you shouldn't get everything assembled yet." I heard my dad yell from upstairs.

"Fine! I'll be downstairs." Jace came into view and smiled at Skylar. "Hi, sweetie." He kneeled down in front of her. "You are very pretty. Did Clary get you some new clothes?" She nodded and hid behind my legs. "I'll take these bags to the laundry room so we can wash them."

"Thanks, Jace." He took the bags away and I led Sky upstairs. Before we got to the room, I took her hands in mine and kneeled down to her height. "Okay, you're about to meet the rest of my family. My dad, brother, some friends, and Jace's parents. Is that okay with you? If not, we can go into my bedroom until they leave."

"I want to meet them." I smiled and stood up, still holding her hand as we entered the room. Everyone turned to look at us and smiled at the little girl half hiding behind my legs.

"Everyone, this is Skylar. Sky, this is Valentine, my dad, Jonathan, my brother, Robert and Maryse, Jace's parents, Izzy, Simon, Magnus, and Alec. They're my friends. But they're more like family than friends."

"It's nice to meet you, Skylar." Maryse approached us and smiled down at her. "Do you want to pick out a paint color for your room?" Sky nodded and pulled me with her to pick out a color.

She had the choice of, light blue, purple, dark blue, and a baby pink. She sat down in front of the paint cans and pointed to the pink one. "You want pink?" I asked her, getting another nod. "Alright, then." I looked to my family. "Do you guys mind painting while we hang out downstairs?"

"Of course. You can't be around the paint fumes anyway." Jon said, pointing to my enlarged belly with a smile.

"Very true. Thanks, guys. We'll be downstairs if you need anything." Just then, I heard Lily crying in her nursery. "Come on, Sky. Let's go check on Lily." She grabbed my hand again and followed me to Lily's room.

She stood in her crib, holding onto the bars as she cried, like a prisoner behind bars. I let go of Sky's hand and picked Lily up.

"Sky, this is Lily. She's one year old." Sky stared at Lily as I changed her diaper.

"Cute." Sky spoke. I held Lily in one arm and took Sky's hand with the other as we headed downstairs.

"Do you want a snack, or anything to drink?"

"Yes, please." I took her to the kitchen and showed her everything she could have and she ended up settling on sour cream and onion Pringles.

Once I had a bottle made for Lily, we went back to the living room and sat down on the couch. "Do you want to watch TV?" I asked her.

"I was never allowed." She told me.

"Well, you are now." I turned on the TV and let her flip through the kids channels. She picked Tangled. One of my favorite princess movies.
