•Chapter 15•

Junmyeon's P.O.V ~

I am waiting for Y/N, as it's our practice time.

'She is late today', I thought, because Y/N is a punctual girl, the one who always comes on time.

It has already been 10 minutes, am waiting impatiently because unlike other days - when we come practice, chitchat a little and leave ,today I have a different purpose.

Flashback ~

"Junmyeon!!", shouted Kyungsoo while running towards me and hugged me from behind.

"YAH, you scared me. Aish!!", I shouted back.

I turned to see our shy boy Kyungsoo  smiling brightly.

" What's with the sudden change? Few minutes back you were the saddest soul on earth and now you're smiling like a fool", I asked teasingly.

"Actually.. Kyunghee asked me out, to be her Prom date!", he exclaimed, still smiling .

This boy is so happy and excited, I have never seen him like this.

"Wow, first Kyunghee rejected you and now asked you out herself?", I laughed.

The urge to teasing Kyungsoo was taking over me again.

"She had a reason Junmyeon", stated Kyungsoo , with a straight face.

"What reason?", I asked because this time, curiosity took over me.

"Kyunghee told me that she always went to the prom with Y/N as no one ever asked Y/N to be their partner. So she wanted to accompany her best friend. She rejected me for Y/N's sake."

Hearing Y/N's name I became serious.

"So why is she going with you and not Y/N this time?"

"Kyunghee said Y/N herself requested her to go with me, I don't know much about it but Y/N is not having a partner now I guess. I kinda feel bad for her, maybe she'll come alone.", sighed Kyungsoo.

"No you don't have to! She'll have a partner this time too and don't worry that's obviously not going to be your girl ", I smirked.

"Yah!  Kyunghee is not mine..", he paused " I mean not for now."

It was then and there that I decided to ask Y/N out. I really don't know what was I thinking back then when I said those words. I felt good and responsible, maybe because she's the first girl, who I became friends with.

'She's also sweet and cu-', I slapped myself and snapped out of my train of thoughts. WHAT AM I EVEN THINKING!!

I suddenly heard the door open and saw her coming in.

She's smiling just the way Kyungsoo was smiling.

"Hey", I waved at her.

"Hello Junmyeon!", she replied, smiling at me.

She then came and sat beside me "So what are we doing first - Piano practice or Vocal practice?, she asked.

After staring at her for a few seconds, I decided to ask her something.

"You look quite happy today, may I know the reason?"

Her smile faded and she looked straight into my eyes. I raised my eyebrows in return.

"Is it that obvious?", I couldn't stop but laugh at her question and then nodded in answer.

"Actually on my way, I met my friend Minho and he.. asked me to be his Prom date " she said, blushing at her own words.

After hearing what she said, all my excitement and hopes crumbled. I was in loss of words.

"And you said Yes to him?", I asked.

I don't even know why I asked her, everything is clear and visible in her eyes and smile.

"Yes" she replied, shattering all my hopes.
