MISAKI'S POV

Erwin pushed me behind him. How many times do I have to tell him that I'm not a little kid anymore and I can handle things on my own. He starts questioning them.

"Where did you get the maneuvering gear?"
Nothing.
"Who taught you how to use them?"
Nothing.
"Why were you taking the princess?"
Nothing.

Erwin signaled for one of his squad members to do his dirty work. The guys grabbed the raven-haired boy's head and shoved it in mud. I ran to the guy and pushed him off the boy that saved my life. I looked at Erwin.

"First of all, you treat these three with respect. They saved me from being raped and sold. Second, if anyone should be worried, it should be you. If you didn't cut his wires, I wouldn't have fallen 20 feet. Third, if you acted with your brain, you would have realized that they were trying to save me. Instead you put me in more danger than those three."
"Are you done?"
"Actually no I'm not done. Stop treating me like I'm seven. I'm 18. I live in the same head quarter as you."
"Done?"
"Yes. Now let me ask the questions, Captain."

I turned to the raven-haired boy and I ripped a piece of my skirt off to wipe his face with.

"What's your name?"
"I'm Levi. The girl is Isabel and he's Furlan."

I looked at them and smiled. I signaled someone to bring me water and a squad member gave me his water bottle. I poured some on the fabric and continued to wipe his face.

"Are you guys hurt?"
"Princess, can you start asking the real important questions."
"If you are just going to stand there and nag me, than you and your squad can go."

He stood there and crossed his arms.

"Are you guys hurt?"
"No."
"No ma'am."
"I fell 20 feet down to break your fall."

I laughed.

"I can heal you. Just don't freak out."
"You know when you tell someone not to freak out, they usually freak out."

I ignored him and put my hands around the side of his face. I placed my forehead on his and began healing him. After a few seconds, I couldn't feel any more pain or injuries so I pulled away.

"All better?"
"Thanks."
"So, who taught you to use the maneuvering gear and how did you get it?"

Levi wasn't talking. I looked at Isabel, but she kept quiet. I looked at Furlan, but he just kept his head down. Before I could react, Erwin grabbed Levi's head and slammed in it the mud right next to me.

"ERWIN! GET OFF OF HIM! I JUST HEALED HIM YOU IDIOT!"
"He was taking too long."
"Well I would too if I was getting interrogated by the Survey Corps and a royal. Get away from him."

I bent down and looked at Levi.

"I'm sorry for his behavior. Sometimes he forgets that he's a grown man and needs to grow up."
"It's fine."
"So are you going to tell me?"

He looked at Isabel and Furlan before answering. I could tell they were close.

"We took them from the military police and we taught ourselves."
"Self-taught and your guys are that good?"

All three nodded. I looked at Erwin and he knew exactly what I was thinking. I was going to tell them, but Erwin had to beat me to it.

"Join the Survey Corps. You'll get citizenship and amnesty on all of your crimes. We could use your strength."
"What if I don't?"

I looked at Levi. Why wouldn't he want this offer? It would get him and his friends out of this dump. It would give them a new start.

"If you don't, we will let the military police do their job and with the crimes that you guys have, you might not have fun."
"What do we have to do?"
"You'll skip the training corps since you guys excel at the maneuvering gear already. So you'll go straight into the Survey Corps as a member. If you do well, you may become a captain."
"Fine."
"Alright, that wasn't so hard. Let's go get your stuff."

We followed them to their house, so they could pack up. I told Erwin about the three guys that almost raped me and he had two of his squad members take care of it. We walked into their house and it was spotless. I could eat off these floors. They each came back out with just a little sack full.

"That's it?"
"Yep."
"Alright Levi, Isabel, and Furlan! Are you guys ready for a brand new start? Don't listen to Captain Eyebrows over there, he can be a little hostile, but he is the best that we have!"

They all just looked at me. Isabel smiled at me and I knew we were going to be good friends.

LEVI'S POV

She different. She stood up for me and my friends. She has these weird healing abilities that freaks me out. I forgot I got a headache because Mr. Bushy Brows decided to shove my face into mud. Finally, we get to leave this dump and live a life worth living.

"Alright Levi, Isabel, and Furlan! Are you guys ready for a brand new start? Don't listen to Captain Eyebrows over there, he can be a little hostile, but he is the best that we have!"

I looked at the Princess. Her eyes are so blue. Her hair reminds me of my mom's hair.

"Oh, you guys are going to love my twin brother. He's like me, but a dude."

Okay, does this girl ever shut up? Then I hear her and Isabel talking about stupid stuff. They are perfect for each other: they both don't know how to stop talking sometimes. We made it to the stairs and I watched as she talked to the people controlling who goes and who doesn't. I could only hear a little bits of it.

"We need to get through please."
"Money or since you look young and feisty, how about we can have some fun and I'll let you guys go?"
"No. Do you know who I am?"
"You look like a girl who needs to relax. I can help with that."
"Don't. You look like someone that lives in the inner wall were all the nobles live, so look at me again and see if you recognize me."

I watch as the man looks at her and he looks scared.

"I'm sorry Princess. Here. You can go through."
"Thank you."

And just like that we are one step closer to seeing the blue sky and breathable air.
