Just when you're about to throw in the towel, you wake up in a hospital room, and to your shock, your dad's right there with you, but nothing makes sense with the memories you keep. Before you can even process this bizarre reunion, you and your dad are victims of an attempted kidnapping, you being rescued by 4 mutant turtle brothers, who offer to help you find your father. As you get to know them better, you find yourself drawn into their world while trying to understand what's going on with your memories. Little do you know, there's more to your connection with these heroes than meets the eye. Eventual MC x Donatello relationship. A remake of Donatello and April's original relationship dynamic, but slow burned and unrushed, so they can build a true friendship before discovering that either of them have feelings for the other. --------------- I always felt like Donnie crushin' on April in the show was a bit off, especially 'cause she never felt the same way and it felt kind of forced. Chatted with my sis 'bout this ongoing plot in the series, and it hit me - the show could've been way cooler if April and Donatello had a tighter connection, giving 'em both the character development they deserved. Figured I had nothin' to lose, so this's what came outta that chat. Hope you dig it! First time putting words on paper, fingers crossed it ain't too shabby. No, it seemed to continue in the form of kind red brown eyes, green skin, and a purple mask. Together, an unlikely friendship starts, one making it his mission to keep one of his few friends alive, the other, attempting to keep it together for the first person to ever care for her. Life, for once in (Y/n)'s life seems to go well, considering the circumstances. She feels fulfilled, and tries, oh she tries so hard to stay alive for him, the nerd that care. There will be obstacles, there always are, but for a mutant ninja, and a teenager coming from a shattered home, these obstacles turn into challenges. These two teenagers must unravel a conspiracy that will thrust them into the midst of gangs, drug addiction, and enemies that will try everything they can to destroy this unlikely couple. Pain, death, and the clouds of depression will follow them both. Together, this mess of a friendship will turn into something better. Together, they are imperfectly, perfect.
