Chapter 7: Perfect Savior

ARANYA

Dinig ko ang sunod-sunod na mga sigaw ng lahat kahit pa nakatago ako sa naglalakihang puno ng school park. Sa sobrang tinis ng mga sigaw ay talagang nagmukhang zombie apocalypse ang marathon.

The screams are the sign of civillians getting caught by the zombies in black (I prefer calling them that because of their weird taste of school fashion) and to finally take their ribbons as a sign of taking their lives. In other words, bagsak na ang mga ito sa PE.

Ako naman itong panay lang ang tago sa gitna ng kagubatan at mahinang idinidikit ang mga paa sa damuhan para hindi marinig ng kahit sino. Iniiwasan ko kahit pa kaluskos para hindi ako makatawag ng pansin.

I tried to keep myself hidden and quiet as I try to cross the other side of the park para maabot agad ang finish line nang hindi umiikot at hindi nakikita. The problem is, there are some who did the same strategy so I can still hear the loud screams and laughs from the area I'm currently standing.

Nakakarinig pa ako ng mga mura dahil malapit na silang mahuli o di kaya ay nabibigla dahil may bigla na lamang susulpot sa harap nila. I just hope hindi iyon mangyari sa akin.

I continued walking cautiously as I try to wander my head to every part of the forest to check if there was anyone or anything on the way. I thought I'm already in the verge of reaching the success of my plans but then I heard running footsteps towards where I am kaya't naghanap ako ng punong pwedeng pagtaguan.

Luckily, I found a big tree with a very huge root and beside it is a big rock which is good for hiding. Agad akong tumungo doon at dumapa para hintaying makaalis ang kung sino mang paparating.

"Any sign of her?"

Dinig kong tanong ng isang hindi pamilyar na boses ng babae. Looks like they're looking for a specific person. Kung naghahanap ang mga ito ay posibleng mga taga-Harman ang dumating na lalo kong ikinakaba.
If I ever try to do something stupid then I'm dead.

"Nope. I haven't seen her." Ani ng isa pang boses babae.

"Damn! I want to strangle that flirt! Papatayin ko siya mismo dito sa sarili niyang eskwelahan!"

Agad akong napatakip sa bibig nang marinig ang galit nitong usal. Does she mean like really kill somebody? Here in Mendel? But why would they do that?

"I'm with ya'. I'm gonna rip her face if I ever see her! Anong karapatan niyang landiin si Seven?"

I can feel the great anger in the voice of the woman who spoke na lalo kong ikinakaba.

At sino naman kaya ang tinutukoy nilang nilalandi si Seth? As far as I remember, every lady in Mendel High tried to flirt with him. Why are they mad at only one specific girl?

"Yeah! Pinalampas ko lang na nakita ko siyang sumakay sa kotse ni Seven kahapon, pero hindi ko na mapapalampas ang nangyari kanina! I can see how she enjoyed seeing Seven tying the ribbon around her waist! If I ever get my hands to that damn ribbon, I will tie it around her filthy neck!"

Now it occured to me. They are not talking to someone I don't know. Instead, they are talking about me! Ako lang naman ang sumakay sa kotse ni Seth kahapon at ako lang ang tinalian niya ng ribbon sa beywang kanina!

But why is it a big deal to them? At bakit sinasabi nilang nilalandi ko si Seth? I have never even try to approach him! Siya ang lumapit sa akin in the first place! He's the one who offered a ride and he's the one who commanded me to let him tie up the ribbon in my bloody waist! How dare them call me a flirt!
