Chapter 5 - We Didn't Accept You

Taehyung just walk follow by Aera. Soon, they arrive, he turns around with a cold face and emotionless. Aera raises her eyebrows. 

"Is this my room?" She points at the door.

"What else?" He asks back. 

Rude much.

She sighs and opens the door. The wall color is baby pink and it was one of her favorite colors. Even she always wears black and grey or something dark, she still loves this color.

She gotta admit it, that she loves this room. It cozy. She put down her bag on the bed and look around.

"Bathroom at the end of the hallway. All of us sharing. The second bathroom is for our parents." Taehyung spoke. 

He's still there.

"Oh. Thank you." Aera said. 

Taehyung just sighs and walks away leaving her. Aera sits on the bed while looking around. She has to get used to this surrounding and new face.

When thinking about it again. she feels angry toward her mother. It will take time for her to stop getting angry at her. Replacing his father is not wrong but...

How can she move on without her?

A heavy sigh escaped her lips and close her eyes. Well, this is how her life is.

Night~

Until the night, she just keeps herself in the bedroom. She drawing on her sketchbook while listening to music. Even every time she saw her mother checking her up, she just ignores her.

Now, she has a big family. 7 step-brother!? Is there someone who loves that kind of family? Maybe some people love it and some of them not.

Suddenly, someone pats her shoulder. She flinches and takes off her headphones before look who is it.

"Sorry. Did I startle you?" Jin asks. Aera looks away when notices that he saw her face again and nods her head.

"Oh. Um...sorry again. Actually, dinner is ready." He gives her a small smile.

"Thanks," Aera says quietly.

Jin nods slightly and turns around. But, he didn't walk away. Instead, he turns around back.
"You don't need to hide your face. I see it already." Jin spilled it out.

"I know." Aera nods.

"Such a big scar you had." He blurts it out. Aera just holding herself.

"Where did you get the-" Without let Jin finish, she gets up.

"Mind your own business, please," Aera says before grabbing the mask and stomps out. 

She went downstairs straight to the kitchen. Mrs. Choi's voice of laughing can be heard. She walks in and saw her mother happily laughing with her 'new' father.

"You happy..." Aera said under her breath. She takes a seat and it catches her mother's attention.

"Sweetie!! Look, I cook your favorite dish!!" She shows the food and put it in front of the Aera.

"Thanks," Aera said. "But, I don't have an appetite to eat." She added.

"Aera, you have to eat. I heard from the doctor that you less too much weight already." Mrs. Choi says in concern. Jin comes into the kitchen and Aera ignoring him.

"You know that I don't like to eat with a lot of people, right?" Aera asks.

"I know, dear but just this time, please. Let them see your face." Mrs. Choi pleaded.
