It was now Saturday, meaning her date with Maxwell. She was getting ready — wearing a yellow cami sundress with thin straps. She never really liked heels, so she decided to wear her yellow vans.

"Willow! Maxwell is here!"

Quickly hurrying, she rushed downstairs.

"Hey." Maxwell said as his eyes soften.

"Hi." The girl replied.

"Okay don't be out too late. And you. If you hurt her, I will have your head. I will make sure you wish you never even met her. Am I clear?" Oliver said looking serious.

Gulping, Maxwell agreed. Sure he was scary to everyone else, but he didn't want to be on Willow's brother's bad side.

"Let's go." Maxwell said as he grabbed her hand. Walking to the car, he opened the door for her.

Quietly thanking him, he quickly went to the driver seat and drove.

"You look beautiful." He said as he kissed the back of her hand.

"Thank you. Where are we going?" Willow asked as she blushed.

"It's a surprise. Trust me, you'll like it." He gave a reassuring smile as he held her hand. Her hand was small and his hand engulfed hers as it was twice the size of her hand.

"Are you hungry? I can order some food and we can eat while I drive." Maxwell said. It was 8 pm and he wanted to make sure Willow had food in her stomach.

"Can we get Wendy's?"

"Sure." He drove to the Wendy's drive thru, getting chicken nuggets, fries, and a peach lemonade for the both of them.

Maxwell and Willow ate and talked about their lives, getting to know each other better, while Maxwell was driving.

...

"Come on Willow, I want to show you something." Maxwell replied. He had the whole evening planned out for Willow and him.

"I'm coming, you walk so fast, I can barely keep up." Willow tried to say in between breaths. Even though she was 5'8, Maxwell was 6'3, so she had a hard time keeping up, he was taller than her by a few inches, but he still took long strides, or steps.

He had taken her to a part of the woods. There was a beautiful clear lake along with a waterfall in the center. The sun had already set, so the moon reflected on the clear water. The place looked as if it had come out of a fairytale.

"Woah, this is so-" Willow started, but was soon cut off. "-Beautiful." Maxwell said, completing her statement. However, he wasn't talking about the scenery, he was referring to the beautiful girl next to him. When Willow realized he was staring at her, she couldn't help, but blush.

"Why are we here Max?"

Max. A nickname that Willow seemed to give him by accident that just stuck. He was delighted and happy when she called him Max. It was simple and not cringeworthy nor was it extra. He found it cute.

"I thought you would like this place, and plus I wanted to spend time with you."

This made Willow blush even harder. No one had ever said that to her before, so it was all quite new.
