Maxwell had just woken up. He had a killer headache. That obviously happens when you drink too much.

He noticed he was on the couch. Last time he recalled, he was in a chair. Romeo must have moved him.

The sun shining in his living room didn't help with the pain either. He wanted nothing more than to get rid of the headache. Maxwell wasn't one for sleeping. He was always restless, and had a lot on his mind. Being busy every while, he would barely get sleep, since he wakes up early in the morning.

Maxwell saw the aspirin and water on the table in front of the couch. Quickly downing it, he made his way to get ready for the day.

His schedule today was easy. He had to practice, and then later on, he would have a fighting match. Maxwell was undefeated, which made him the best in the state. Many have contacted him to sign with them, but he refused. He only fought because it was a stress reliever for him. It was a way he was able to life the tension off his chest. Plus he was filthy rich. He made enough money from the family business, and if you add the money he made during each match, he had enough to last him a lifetime.

After, he would have to sign some papers for his company. Since he turned 18, his father handed him the company, retiring early. His father was only 48, his mother being 45. Retiring at 48 was fairly young, but he wanted to spend as much time as he could with his wife. Maxwell would never admit it, but he did adore the way his parents were in love. Yet some part of him was disgusted by the PDA they would show in front of him. To be fair, what kid would be comfortable when their parents are snogging, or affectionate towards each other?

First, he had to visit Romeo and his family.

Romeo had been with Maxwell since the beginning. Their mothers were very close, so they knew each other since wearing diapers. He was the only person Maxwell trusted and he would never go against him. Maxwell did everything for him. Helped him when he was struggling. Helped him get back on his feet. As well as many other things.

Walking up to his black Mercedes-Benz, Maxwell quickly got buckled in, and started his way towards Romeo's house.

It's been a few months since he last visited, but he promised Mrs. Russo, Romeo's mother, that he would visit soon. Maxwell may be cold hearted, rude, and many other things, but he had a soft spot for his family, and he considered the Russo family, as his own.

...

After leaving The Oasis, Maxwell's adrenaline was slowly going down. He was so pent up with anger that if he doesn't fight or at least punch someone, he would lose it. Fighting keeps him sane. It was a way he could take his anger out. Some people danced, paint, etc. to relieve stress. For Maxwell, it was fighting.

The night was calm. The sky was almost getting dark as hints of orange accents were still present in the night sky. The wind brushing against the trees gave a relaxing vibe. If only it were like this forever. Peaceful and beautiful.

...

It was quiet in the West household as Willow was sleeping. All of that stress and burden she carried must have worn her out. It was the second time she was able to fall asleep without twisting and turning all night.

Opening her bedroom door, Oliver heard Willow's breathing. Sensing she was asleep, he quickly kissed her forehead and left the house.

Oliver had a feeling he knew the man that was following Willow. He couldn't tell her though. She probably doesn't even remember the man, seeing as he left after she was born.

He was confused. Angry even. Why would he come back now? After leaving them alone for so many years?

Not knowing what to do, Oliver went to Mason. Yes Mason. The one that hangs out with Everett.

At first Oliver was upset that Mason didn't stand up for Willow, but he understood that Everett was his friend as well. He knew Mason cared about Willow, plus he was great at hacking, or finding information on anyone.

Calling Mason, he quickly explained the situation. Mason let him in, and they got to work.

Oliver talked about the man he thought it may be. Mason was able to find information on the guy in a heartbeat.

"It says here that his wife had just recently divorced him... he's pretty much homeless." Mason tried to skim over the report and explained to Oliver.

"Wait, what's this? Click on it." Doing so, it revealed a police report. He had been arrested for multiple drug charges. A record of assault, as well as many DUIs.

Oliver knew he was blood thirsty for money. Hell, he left them because they were poor! He was furious. After all these years, he only wanted to come back into their lives for money. What a dead-beat of a father he was.

Willow knew about their father, and how he left them for money. Her mother was devastated, but she had her two children to worry about. Her whole world revolved around them. Of course, her father wasn't always like that. Their parents were in love. No one knew what made him to be like the man he was today. Maybe he got tired of struggling? Maybe it was who he was all along and soon got tired of pretending to be who he wasn't?

"He better not be near Willow and I, or so help me god, I will break his fucking face and make him wish he never even glanced our way."

Mason knew he wasn't making an empty threat. He knew about their father. Oliver was dead set on beating the man he called a father, to a pulp if he ever set foot near them. That was a promise.

Unedited.

So I got into a Twitter fight

It's so frustrating when you have to repeat yourself or when they don't understand what you're trying to say, and now I'm all worked up LMFAO

They keep coming at me and it's making me so mad LOL

This chapter really sucked, but I wanted to
update. I'm going to try to update as much as I can. With winter break being next week, I can write and update more

Also, most of my chapters aren't planned, if I have an idea, I'll just make a draft and type until my mind is blank

But I want to thank you if you made it this far! I'm still fairly new to reading, so thank you for giving this book a chance :)
