It was Friday, which meant that Violet and Willow were going to the mall.

The day went by quick that by the time they knew it, school had ended. Before Willow was able to shut her locker, her phone went off, indicating that she had received a text.

Violet
Meet me in the parking lot, by my car.

Willow
Okay, I'm on my way.

Quickly making her way to the parking lot, she met up with Violet. As they drove to the mall, they caught up with their lives as if they hadn't seen each other in ages, when in reality, they had just seen each other during lunch.

"Hey, you okay Willow?" Being her best friend, she knew about Willow's insomnia, how she had trouble sleeping most nights. Violet knew that Willow hated talking about herself, and she would rather much deal with her problems by herself, which worries Violet and Oliver, but they understand, and try to give her space.

"Yeah, just tired I suppose." One thing Violet knew well was when Willow wasn't telling the truth. In this case, she could tell Willow was telling her part of the truth. She could practically see her best friend's dark circles and eye bags, which have gotten worse over the past month. However, by the pleading looks she saw from Willow, she knew she didn't want to talk about it. So when Willow saw that she wasn't going to push the matter, she felt relieved.

Violet tended to worry about Willow a lot, but she knew that Willow had trouble opening up since her mother's death. Losing your mother wasn't easy, even she didn't want to imagine what it would feel like if she lost her mother. Of course Miss West, Willow's mother, was like a second mother to Violet, so she was affected by her death, but she couldn't imagine the pain Oliver and Willow went through.

"How are you and Isaac? He told me about your date. Tell me everything." Wanting to switch the topic, she decided to bring up Isaac.

Violet and Isaac were very much in love. Even a blind person could see how they look at each other. A part of Willow wanted someone like how Isaac had Violet, but at the same time, she knew she didn't need anyone to be happy. She was fine by herself, and she wouldn't want anything more or less.

"We're good! Oh, the date! He took me to the park at night, and we stargazed while having a picnic! After that, we went to a movie drive in, so you know how that went." Violet said with a wink and smirk.

The rest of the ride went by fast, the two listened to music as well as conversed about their day and many other things.

...

"What do you think about this dress?" Violet was wearing a cream colored mini dress with a sweetheart neckline that stopped at her upper thigh. It hugged Violet's curves in all of the right places. She wasn't one to be shy when it came to showing off her body, she was quite confident with herself.

"It's beautiful, you should definitely buy it."

After Violet rummaging through the clothing racks, she finally spoke.

"Willow! I found this really cute dress! You have to try it on! Go go go!" Violet shoved the dress into her best friend's hands and ushered her into the changing rooms.

The dress was beautiful. It was more casual than formal. It had floral prints along with a tie in the front, and was off the shoulder dress, that stopped right at Willow's mid-thigh. The dress was beautiful, and hugged her curves in all of the right places.

Walking out the changing room, she called out to Violet to ask her how she looked.

"How do I look?" The girl felt self-conscious about herself. "You look beautiful! You have to get this dress Willow! I'm paying!"

Before Willow could even protest, Violet was already at the cash register, checking out and paying for the dress.

The two best friends shopped for a few hours, getting a few outfits along with jewelry. Willow couldn't help, but feel as if they were being followed, or watched, but every time she looked around, she couldn't find anyone suspicious. Maybe she was being paranoid, so she shook it off. They were worn out and hungry, so they made their way to the food court, which led to where they were now.

Violet and Willow agreed on Chick-fil-a, so they were half way into their meal, when Willow spoke up.

"Violet, can we leave? Everett and Marissa are here." She wasn't very bothered by their relationship, in fact, she wished nothing, but the best for Everett. Everett didn't even look like he was enjoying himself. However, she knew that if Marissa saw them at the mall, she would try to cause a scene or say rude things.

"Yeah sure, come on, let's go." Violet understood. She was quite understanding when it came to Willow. She knew she had her reasons, she was kindhearted and wished everyone the best for their well-being, plus Violet despised Marissa.

Quickly gathering their items, along with cleaning up after themselves, they quickly made their way out. Unfortunately, Marissa did spot them, and did try to call them over, but the two made a beeline for the doors, and succeeded.

They were out of breath, but bursted out laughing nonetheless.

"Oh my gosh, did you see her face?" Violet said in between laughs, which was pretty hard since she was still trying to catch her breath from running.

The duo were laughing so hard that tears started spilling out causing them to receive looks from strangers, but they were too busy laughing to care.

Today was definitely a fun day for Willow. She missed hanging out with Violet and vise versa.

"Thank you for today, it really helped me clear my mind a lot. I had fun. We should do this more often. Also thank you for paying for my items." Willow said with a smile on her face.

Violet agreed, and brushed off her gratitude. She would do anything for Willow and she knew Willow would do the same for her. She noticed how distracted and dazed Willow had been lately. She was glad to say that the shopping trip worked.

One thing was for sure, Willow had a great time, she even almost forgot about what had been bothering her lately. Keyword being almost. Nonetheless, today really helped her get her mind off of everything, and she got to spend time with her best friend.

By the end of the day, Willow's cheeks were starting to hurt from how much she was smiling.
