"What's going on Willow? You're barely listening to what I say." Violet asked. She noticed how Willow would barely pay attention to the many words she would say. Willow wasn't one to ignore people, she always gave the person who was talking, her whole attention as if what they're saying was so fascinating. One would say that Willow was an excellent listener.

Isaac too had been noticing how dazed Willow was. He was sitting at their table today, which was something he would do every few days a week, alternating between his table, to Violet's.

"Mason tried to talk to me yesterday..."

Willow decided to keep the Maxwell situation to herself. She thought she was overthinking it.

Maybe it was just an accident. She doubted that they'd ever see each other again. It's not like she had a chance. They didn't even know each other, yet somehow she felt disappointed. However, he made it very clear he didn't want anything to do with Willow, so she shook off the thought of ever seeing him again.

Little did she know that wasn't the case.

"What did he say? Did you talk to him? What happened?" Violet and Isaac exclaimed at the same time. This wasn't a new occurrence. They were so alike that sometimes their sentences where exactly the same, which freaked Willow out, but soon got used to it.

"He just tried to make small talk, like he asked me how I was, and that I can talk to him whenever."

"Why would he talk to you? It's been a year."

Violet and Isaac obviously knew what happened. Whoever didn't know about the "scandal" was living under a rock.

Isaac was annoyed. He saw Willow as the sister he never had since he only has two brothers. He didn't understand why Mason was talking to Willow now. He didn't defend her when Everett said those nasty things about her, yet he called himself her friend. It disgusted Isaac how Willow went through hell and back for Mason, she helped him when he needed the most, but when Willow needed him, he turned his back on her. He remembered how devastated Willow was when she lost Mason, after all, they were close to each other.

"I don't know, I just ignored him until he left me alone, but it was hard. He sat next to me in class."

"Do you want him to leave you alone? I can make that statement quite clear to him. Just say the word, I'll do it."

"No, it's okay, but thank you."

"You know what? Let's go shopping this Friday to take your mind off things! We never get to hang out anyways, so why not?" Violet exclaimed.

"Are you sure? Don't you have plans with Isaac? I don't want to be a bother."

"Don't worry about it Willow. My grandparents are visiting this weekend, so we don't have plans."

"It's settled then. We are going to the mall this Friday! We are going to leave after school, so tell Oliver! Also don't worry about money, I'm paying for everything. We are not leaving empty handed. I'm going to make sure you leave with at least ten items."

Willow wanted to protest, but she knew better than to argue with Violet on this. She was quite stubborn when she was determined and set on a goal, so Willow didn't try to argue with her best friend especially when she was persistent on something.

Lunch went by smoothly, but that couldn't be said for the rest of the day.

Willow just shut her locker when Marissa walked up to her. It was the last period before school ended.

"I want you to stay away from Everett you hear me? Or I will make your life a living hell. I'll make this year ten times worse than last year."

Marissa never made high school easy for Willow. Even before she got involved with Everett. She never did anything wrong. She never rubbed Marissa the wrong way or anything, yet she hated Willow's guts.

It's not like I even talk to him, nonetheless hang out. Willow thought, but she didn't say this. She knew that Marissa would find a way to take it wrong, and then keep bugging her. So she said, "Okay" and then simply walked to her next class, which was art.

It wasn't the fact that Willow didn't know how to stand up for herself, she just hated attention. She didn't want to cause any drama, plus she wasn't a rude person. She knew better than to lash out on anger.

"Never lash out on anyone. Never call people names in arguments. Being mad at someone doesn't give you the right to call them names and degrade them. Even though people can be quite stubborn and ignorant at times, they are still human. It doesn't matter if they say rude things to you out of anger, don't swoop as low as them. Be the bigger person."

Willow's mother once told this to her, as well as her brother, and ever since, she's been living by this. Her mother was a wise, beautiful woman. The West siblings were quite proud to be her children, and they were never ashamed of their mother, they always showed their love to her whenever they could.

Willow made it to class right before the bell rang.

Everett was in this class.

Marissa nearly made Willow late, so by the time Willow made it to class, the only seat available was next to Everett.

"Good afternoon class!" Miss Parker exclaimed. Art was Willow's favorite class, she was quite good at the subject.

The rest of the class went by fast. Besides the side glances from Everett that would make Willow uncomfortable, the class wasn't too bad.

By the time she knew it, school was over.

Opening her locker to get the few things she needed before leaving, she saw a letter slip out.

Remember I am watching you. Even when you think you're safe, you're not. Watch your back because I am coming, and you'll never see it coming.
