Annabeth POV:

Edward drove us to the party in a black mini-van that looked like those cars you see celebrities being transported in all the time. I suppose, in Piper's case, this car was built for just that. It took 40 minutes to get to Leo's house, in which time the six of us girls had gotten through another three wine bottles and I had become extremely comfortable with them all. We practically fell out of the car once we arrived, and I ended up getting a piggy-back from the car to the front-doorway from Katie.

Percy was the one to open the door.

"Hello party peop- oh, hi," His face dropped when he saw me. I quickly dropped off Katie's back and tried to act sober. "Welcome to, um, Bunker Nine."

Katie laughed and clapped Percy on the shoulder. "Nice to see you too, Kelp Head. Cawh, what are you all dressed up for? I don't think I've ever seen your hair that straight in my life," and she quickly ran her hands through his hair, messing it all up again. He scowled and slapped her hands away, not before glancing at me quickly.

"Let us in, it's freezing out here!" Calypso pleaded, her teeth chattering together. Percy moved out the way and the six of us filtered through the door.

"I'll call you when we're ready, Edward!" Piper shouted behind her, but the door closed before we could hear his response.

Leo's Lakehouse was huge and cluttered with hundreds of gizmos and random bits of decorations. None of the furniture matched, every wall was littered with tens of mirrors and odd paintings, and the back of the house was made up of a huge glass wall which overlooked the waterside and his massive garden. I could see random outdoor furniture and even a volleyball court outside. As Percy showed us around the house, we passed an indoor cinema, an indoor pool, a sauna, a video-games room made up of old arcade games, another games room with a pool table and ping-pong table, a bar and a locked door which led into a workshop.

"What is it that Leo's dad does for a living?" I whispered to Piper, taking in the magnificence of the place.

"He's an engineer," Piper explained. "He's made loads of stuff."

"Do you guys come here a lot?" I asked.

Piper shrugged. "We try to come here as much as-"

"-Welcome, welcome, welcome, my esteemed guests!" Leo announced as we entered the kitchen. He held his hands out wide. "Help yourselves to anything behind the bar and anything in the fridge, but I have to ask that you stay away from the dog food because Festus will be very annoy- what the... who's this?" He asked, staring at me. Everyone turned to face me and I felt like passing out.

"Everybody, this is my friend Annabeth!" Piper smiled. "Do not harm her in any way or-"

The sound of someone knocking on the door could be heard and Piper was cut short.

"Will, sort out the music! People are here! And for gods' sake, girls, you all look far too sober!" And he ran off the answer the door.

Thirty minutes later, the party was in full swing. Outside, the street was packed with cars, whilst inside there must have been at least three-hundred people trying their best to get drunk. I saw people making out in the pool, people throwing Leo's ornaments around the house and people doing shots in the sauna. The kitchen and living room was full to the brim with people dancing their heads off, and a few daring people had even started their own game of strip-beer-pong in the games room.

I had tried my best to stay by Piper's side, but she had got so distracted when she saw Selena walk into the kitchen that she had run off and I had lost her. I now found myself standing near Will, wishing I had something more to drink.
