"sayaka, how is the footprint healing?" the president tapped a finger against her chin thoughtfully.  "and are you comfortable sharing a house with yumeko?"

"the healing process has reached one of it's final stages. and slightly, i feel as though yumeko will continue to try to rope me into her gambles and i'd really rather not sleep in the same room as her, but that's the only house with council members and i don't know anyone outside of it."

"hmm. come sleep with me, then."

"w-what?"

sayaka and kirari were doing last minute paperwork in one of the school's smaller meeting rooms, filling out forms needing signatures and discussing last minute arrangements for the event taking place the next morning.

the president had decided that her privacy was required while sleeping as to avoid any potential harm while defenseless, so she had temporarily remodeled one of the storage closets on the top floor as a bedroom so when the final goodnight had been spoken she could leave and rest someplace else.

"you heard me, sayaka dear. i put a queen mattress in there, that's enough for two people."

"but- in the same- that's highly unprofessional, ms. president-"

"sayaka, above all we're both still high schoolers. you always go on about professionalism, but honestly.. i'd like you to stop viewing me like that."

"what?"

"i understand you are my secretary, which is why we are now doing all of my paperwork together and you manage my schedule, extera, but there never does seem to be an outside of work. i'd like to get to know you better- not you as my secretary, but as a friend. we're friends, aren't we?"

"well.. i understand your point of view, president, and i apologise for allowing any frustration on my part. it's just come naturally to me now to think of you as my superior, the president, and an untouchable character who i am but a mere servant too."

"well, i feel truly sorry about that sayaka."

an uncomfortable silence settled over the two of them, and then sayaka looked out the window, where the last of the students, mostly mittens who had finally finished cleaning a floor or doing work, were exiting the school.

"that's the last of this stack. are there more in your office?"

"no, this was the last of it. are your parents expecting you home?"

"my parents are out of the country, ms. president."

"then let's set up the storage closet to suit both of us, shall we?"

sayaka got a little red in the face, but she stood up with the president and followed her from the meeting room, towards the teacher and council only elevator.

the two made quick work of adding extra blankets and pillows, as well as another shelf for sayaka's belongings, before the blue-haired girl started nodding off and kirari insisted that she went home, packed up, and went to bed.

sayaka agreed tiredly, then left.

it's been two days since the pamphlet arrived, so today started the first day of the three-day sleepover at school.

not much has changed. mary's still rather mean to ririka, ririka can't fight back and doesn't want you to look at her, you've never met the president or anyone else since then.
