"Sean Matthews is out of the competition folks" the announcer says. I feel so bad for him, he really wanted to win this race. Austin goes and beats the time by two seconds. Ben is about to start and I am so ready to cheer him on. Ben just started "Now it is time for Ben Evans" the announcer says "Go Ben!!!! You Got This!!!!" I immediately start shouting "Come On Ben!!!!" I yell with Skye. "Yes Ben!!!!" I cheer. Ben then picks up speed and BEATS the TIME!!!! I am so proud of him. I have the biggest smile on my face. Ben gets off his bike and high fives Austin as well as some other guys. I run toward him and jump into his arms while Skye follows me so she can congratulate him. Ben picks me up in a hug and spins me around, both of us have the biggest smile on our faces. "I did it" "You were amazing" the two of us excitedly say to each other. "Nice one Ben. Your best time yet buddy" Sean says while walking up to us. Me and Ben finally let go of each other and Sean and him do a bro clap. "Mate, what happened?" Ben asks him. "Just pushed to early, but live to ride another day" Sean lies to us. "That was the final presentation of the fay and the winner is Ben Evans" the announcer comes on. BEN WON!!!!!! Skye goes to check on Sean while I stay with Ben and Austin. I can't help but a little jealous of all the girls surrounding Ben but I pretend everything is okay.
Sean heads to his tent where is dad is already waiting. "Dad, how did you know it was today?" He asks the moment he sees his dad "You have been talking about it for months" his dad responds. Sean looks down and sighs because of how he lost "You tried and did your best" He says in an attempt to make Sean feel better "But that wasn't my best" Sean exclaims and raises his voice just slightly he then takes a breathe "I just lost focus.... You should have told me you were gonna be here" he breathes out "Thought it might distract you" Gill counters back "How could I mess up like that?" Sean asks out loud in disappointment "I raised you to be a winner, but maybe it's not at this.... Sean I was only against biking because I thought you could achieve greater things" Gill explains his reasoning to Sean "Do you need a ride home?" he then asks. Sean shakes his head no. Gill leaves while Skye enters. "What's up. Champs arms sore from taking selfies?" Sean jokingly asks hoping to lighten the mood between them "No, I left all of them to get mobbed by groupies" Skye respond back just as lighthearted. They move to the bench and sit down "There will be other races" Skye says after they sit in silence for a couple minutes "What if I'm just not on it(?) (I am not sure if this is exactly what he said) I don't get to have everything or get anything I want" Sean sighs "What do you mean?" Skye asks confused "Ben and Austin have always been way ahead of me and I'm just trying to catch up" Sean explains to Skye who throws an arm over his neck and leans her forehead on the side of his head "Well you are still a winner to me" She says in response. Sean slowly turns his head and kisses me. She doesn't respond for a couple seconds but when she does she immediately pulls away from him. "What was that?" She asks in shock "I-I thought" Sean stutters out "Well don't" Skye fires back with some anger in her voice "I-I need to get back to Austin" Skye stutters out before storming off. Unbeknownst to them Danielle saw everything.
Me, Skye, Austin, and Ben head back to the lodge. "Did someone order a champion?" I asks my dad as the four of us walk in with Ben holding his awards, Austin having come in second place was holding his awards as well. "You qualified! That is great Ben!" Dad says happy for him. "Next stop Nationals. I would like to say it was a breeze but....." Ben starts saying "Don't listen to him, He wasn't even pushing himself." Sean interrupts ben as he walks into the lodge "Hey, Man!" Austin says happy to see his cousin. Sean hugs Austin and Ben before he hugs me. "What's the point in this if I'm not celebrating with my best buds" Ben exclaims happy to see Sean. I notice Skye looking down as well as uncomfortable ever since Sean appeared. "Hey" Christina says walking up to the six of us and standing next to dad who places his arm around her. I will admit that made me become a little queasy. "Well, go and help yourselves to a couple of juices, you've earned them" Dad tells the five of us. Ben places his free hand in mine and me, him, Austin, and Sean go to walk away before noticing Skye is not moving "Oh, Skye, you coming?" Austin asks when he notices he not moving. "One minute. I need to say sorry to someone first" She answers him. The four of us walk away to get juice while Skye walks outside however I impulsively decide to follow my sister. I let go of Bens hand reluctantly "Hey, guys I am gonna go with Skye be back in a sec" I kiss Bens cheek and quickly run past my dad and Christina and out of the lodge to Skye. The two of us head to the secret room our mom had and where Josh was hanging out, sitting on the left end of the sofa staring at his phone and I see he already removed his face paint. I skip over and sit on the couch next to him on his right side so I am in the middle of the sofa and lay my head on his shoulder after removing my face paint so as to not ruin his clothes leaving Skye to be the only one with face paint still on. "Move over, I need somewhere to hide for about a hundred years." Skye says while walking towards me and Josh and sitting next to me on my right side. "Uh-Oh" Me and Josh exclaim together. "What happened?" Josh asks her "Yea I would like to know as well" I say to my sister, who turns her body so she is facing me and josh and lays the left side of her face on the back of the sofa. Me and Josh also turn our bodies so we are facing Skye. I lean my body back into Josh and he wraps his arms around me from behind as well as rests his chin on my shoulder "Sean and I kissed" She answers us. My eyes immediately widen and my jaw drops. "What! When did this happen?" I ask my sister still in shock. "You did what?" Josh asks at the same time as me. "It was an accident" Skye tells us. Me and Josh look at each other "I leave you alone for five minutes and this is what happens!" Josh exclaims. "About before....." Skye starts. Josh holds up a finger making her stop talking before he sits up and turns his body so he facing the wall with his back to us. Me and Skye look at each other confused. He then holds his phone up to his face like he is facetiming someone before he glances at us, indicating us to do the same. The two of us let out a small laugh before we sit up to do the same. Skye turns and faces the wall with her back to me and Josh while I turn to face the back of the couch while sitting crisscross and the three of us are in like a triangle formation. Me and Skye then holds our phones up to our faces just like Josh. "Hi there. So, I'm hundreds of miles away right now in the city" Josh says while I am trying not to burst out laughing. "It's a pretty good connection" Skye starts "You sound really clear" I finish. "Anywho, I miss having the two of you around, It's really hard not seeing both of you everyday. But the really hard part is that you guys are making new friends and I'm scared of losing my best friends, I might even do something insane like turn up invited" Josh rants which make me hate myself because we made him feel like this. "Thanks for the warning" Skye says to him "So maybe invite me to stay and don't not answer my calls, because this best friend stuff is hard work you know" He continues "I love you too" I respond to him this time. The three of us put our phones down and Josh and Skye lock their pinkies then me and Skye lock our pinkies and finally me and Josh lock our pinkies. "You guys want to check out our official new headline act?" Kaylee suddenly appears and says in the doorway of the tunnel. The three of us look at each other before standing up and following Kaylee "Come on" Kaylee says in response to our actions before walking away.
As we head to the concert area(?)(I do not know what to call this room but it has the stage and they sing in said room a lot in the show) we hear the music start "Let's Go!!" I hear the lead singer say into the mic. "Whoo-hoo. Hey. Whoo-hoo" We walk into the concert area at that moment and see a pretty decent sized crowd as well as three boys on stage who look about our age. I see Ben and head straight for him, he sees me as well and both of us get smiles on our faces the moment we see each other. I move to wrap my arms around his waist and just keep him there while he wraps one of his around my shoulders and just leaves it there. Skye heads to Austin who reaches for her hand which she accepts while Kaylee continues walking Josh stops walking right in front of us. "Like a tiger in a cage, Feelings trapped inside your brain" The lead singer runs a hand through his hair before placing it back on the mic with his other hand "Wanna say what you wanna say but it's...All locked inside" Ben looks down at his awards "It just doesn't seem right" he says looking at Sean "I mean we, have something you really wanted" Austin continues also looking at his awards. I notice Sean quickly cut his eyes to Skye when Austin says that and I can't help but get upset at him for doing that because I know her and Austin do like each other a lot but I know she also likes Sean "Yeah, well maybe you deserve it more" Sean says to the two of them "I'll catch you guys later" Sean says patting Austin on the back before grabbing his bag and walking off "It's better to be honest, Than to hide yourself in silence" I tune back into the band. Skye watches Sean walk off before noticing Austin watching her watch Sean she gives him a smile which he returns. I lock eyes on Dad and Christina before focusing back onto the music and Ben. "Oh! Whoo-hoo, Just come on and tell it like it is, Whoo-hoo, Just come out and say it, Take a chance let the words fall out, Open up till they hear you now, Whoo-hoo, Just come on and tell it like it is" Me and Ben start jumping and having fun and are now just holding each others hands. So are Skye and Austin except they let go of each others hands.
"They're like real musicians, It'll be great having them around" Kaylee says to Noah across the room. "One, Two, Three, You can live life bottled up, Leave emotions in the dust, The moment's in your hands" Kaylee goes over to the front of the crowd and starts doing her best dance moves. "Being real is powerful, Anything is powerful, Take a breathe and take control, There's no point holding back" The lead singer once again runs a hand through his hair "It's better to be honest, Than to hide yourself in silence" Kaylee stops her dancing and turns around to grab Noah and pulling him into the front of the crowd. He starts pulling out his best dance moves just like Kaylee did. "Come on! Whoo-hoo, Just come on and tell it like it is, Whoo-hoo" Dad and Christina are having fun jamming out to the song as well "Just come out and say it, Take a chance let the words fall out, Open up till they hear you now, Whoo-hoo, Just come on and tell it like it is, Whoo-hoo, Oh, oh, uh-ooh, Whoo-hoo, Hey, That's right, Whoo-hoo, Whoo-hoo, Hey! One, Two, Three" The music changes to a slow beat and the lead singer begins to calp his hand in time with it "Close your eyes and feel the moment" Everyone joins in with the clapping "No second-guessing your emotions, Let it go you gotta show it, Own it, own it, own it" The beat picks back up again. "Hoooo, Hey! Own, two, three, let's go! Whoo-hoo, Just come on and tell it like it is, Whoo-hoo, Whoo-hoo, Just come on and say it, Whoo-hoo, Oh, yeah" Josh takes over dancing when Noah stops "Whoo-hoo, Just come on and tell it like it is" The song ends and everyone starts cheering.
Me and Skye are cleaning up the mess leftover from the concert. Dad then walks out "Need some help?" he asks us "Nah" Skye says "No" I say "We're okay, thanks" Me and Skye say in unison. "I didn't mean cleaning up" Dad reveals as me and Skye continue picking up the trash "Girls, I always thought your mum would be the one to deal with boy issues when the time came. But you guys are stuck with me, I'm afraid" Dad tells us "Me and Ben are doing great" I say knowing that this conversation is not for me but for Skye "I know that Destiny and I am happy you two are going great" My dad says to me "Me and Austin are doing fine, Dad" Skye says "I was actually talking about Sean" Dad explains after a couple of seconds dad breaks the silence "Be careful how you treat people, Hearts are really fragile things" Dad tells us as Christina walks into the lodge and up to us "You should listen to your dad. He talks a lot of sense" She says playfully pushing our dad "My heart's fragile, too. Were you ever going to tell me and Destiny about the two of you" Skye says in a defensive voice before setting down the trash bag in her hand and walking off.
Me, Josh, and Skye are standing outside the Lodge in front of a taxi. I am hugging Josh tight right now "We wish you could stay longer" Skye says "I need to get back to see myself on the show, see what happens to me" Josh says in response "You'd better call us" I mumble into his shoulder "You'd better answer" he shoots back. I finally pull away from him so Skye can give him a hug "Go on" Skye says pulling away and opening the taxi door for him.
