10. a secret spot

CHAPTER TEN
A SECRET SPOT

".. I could stay here with you forever." Winnie breathed out as she held Cora's delicate body in her arms.

"I could do the same with you Win." Cora smiled a genuine smile at her suitress before nuzzling info her chest. The two girls were at their secret spot that they had found a week ago while exploring Avonlea: a small yet gorgeous lake that was hidden from the world with the branches of tall, lush green trees.

The water sparkled in the daunting sunlight, and Cora and Winifred were at the edge of the lake, under a tall tree's shade. It was a beautiful August evening, and the two were on a secret date, almost two weeks after they started courting.

For Winifred, being with Cora was heaven. Secret dates, secret glances, secret kisses, secret everything. But it felt so good. Every moment spent with Cora was ecstasy, and Winifred was falling hard.

"Cor?" Winnie asked as she placed a warm kiss on her forehead, that made butterflies fly in Cora's stomach.

"Hmm?" She hummed as she drew circles on Winifred's soft hands.

"You drive me absolutely mad."

Cora said nothing, only trailing warm kisses on Winifred's sharp jaw, making her sigh. She moved her mouth to her ear, sending vibrations through Winifred's entire body, "And I'm completely mental for you."

Winnie smiled and wondered how she got this lucky, and kissed Cora softly on the lips, as Cora melted into her touch.

"Do you want to do something else Win?" Cora stared at Winnie innocently.

"Like what Cor?" An intrigued Winifred asked.

"Do you wanna go for a swim love?" Cora smirked at her and Winnie nodded with glee as she smiled brighter. No matter how long they were together, Winnie always felt herself sigh with elation when Cora called her love.

The two jumped in the lake, still in their clothes, laughing as they splashed the refreshing, cold water on each other. Cora swam laps around Winnie and sighed as Winifred engulfed her in a hug.

"You're so beautiful." Winifred whispered in her ear, and Cora planted a warm kiss on her soft, pink lips; it was pure bliss. "You're utterly stunning too Winnie." Cora breathed out.

"Race you to the other side?" Cor asked as she freed herself from Winnie's embrace and swam quickly in the calm lake.

"COR THATS CHEATING-" Winifred yelped as she tried to keep up with the sleek swimmer.

Winifred, however, paused when she saw how adorably excited Cora was when she reached the shore and climbed out of the blue water body. Her gorgeous emerald eyes sparkled in the sun and her soft laugh was the medicine to all of Winifred's problems. Her wet hair framed her snow white face and her pink, see through dress, was drenched with water, highlighting her curves, and leaving Winnie wanting more. She was ethereal.

Winifred couldn't help but stare at the angel in front of her as Cora helped her up from the gleaming lake.

"Win, you're staring." Cora laughed. Oh, that beautiful angelic laugh.

"S-sorry." Winifred flushed red and covered it up with a smile and Cora couldn't help but chuckle. Winnie was adorable. Her dimples were on full display as her soft lips curled up into a most alluring smile, her moist, blonde hair framing her perfect face. Cora cupped her soft skin and stared into her aqua blue eyes as she smiled.

"Today was.." Winifred started, "..amazing."

"Amazing is an understatement love." Cora whispered as she embraced Winnie and kissed her slowly and softly.

Winifred melted into the kiss and embraced Cora tightly.

"I-I think I'm falling in love with you Win.." Cora started out shakily, and Winifred could sense the vulnerability in her tone.

Winifred only smiled as she squeezed Cora's soft hands, "And I know I'm falling in love with you Cor."

Cora smiled as they walked towards the shade and sat under it, the wind warming their skin, and Cora Blythe snuggled into Winifred Rose's warm body, extremely thankful that she was there.
