[Poem Styled]

All was silent around the woods,
In its centre a leaf who thought she was good.
She had hidden away to apparently save,
All of those so-called friends she had made.

Light came through the clearing and so did a face,
The pure sight of it made the leaf's heart race.
She had a bad history with said flame,
Especially since that goddamned game.

He started to ask how she had been,
As it was a while since she was seen.
It caused her to sigh so she asked him to go,
Her regret of being found chosen to show.

The request was ignored much to her dismay,
He wanted her to see the fresh light of day.
But something had weighed rather heavy on her mind,
Making her actions not as kind.

After eating a berry he found on the way,
He chose to approach with something to say.
"Something's torn at your mind, kinda like bugs."
Then he pulled her into what could only be a hug.

She expected to burn because she felt that bad,
But the thought quickly faded, as did worries she had.
As he was metal her body wasn't burnt or torn,
But he still somehow felt considerably warm.

The heat on her skin felt nice to be in,
All of those concerns thrown to a bin.
Her eyes seemed to shut as he was embraced back,
The returning hug seemed to have no signs of slack.

Shortly after her body fell limp,
Letting out steady breaths that might fill a blimp.
The flame let go, but at least set her down,
Finding it impossible to muster a frown.

Even if she thought nobody was there,
Deep down at least one object cared.
The metal wore off and almost like flight,
Light faded and he walked back off into the night.

She then barely stirred and saw him far and not near,
Although it was blurry she had no things to fear.
That whole night seemed to be worthwhile,
And things faded to black as she once again smiled.
