Hannah's POV
"Mr. Brown loves you already, I can tell." Alex tells me a few minutes after I sit down
I shoot a smile towards Alex before scanning the room for familiar faces. Maddie and Jack are a few tables behind us. There aren't a lot of people in this class so that's good.
"Next week we're going surfing while the weather is still nice enough, so make sure your waivers are in as soon as possible." Mr. Brown lets the class know
After 2 hours in Boards class, I start heading to Finance. I asked Alex for directions but they weren't too clear.
"Hannah!" I hear someone say
I turn around to see Spencer towering over me.
"Hey, what class do you have?" I ask him as he walks beside me
"Finance you?" he says
"same here." I answer
We get to finance class as soon as the bell rings and luckily we aren't the last ones there. I take a seat in a random desk beside Spencers as the class starts to fill up.
"Welcome to Senior Finance class, I'm Mrs. Antoni and I'll be your teacher for this semester. I recognize quite a few of you and I've seen most of you around. We have a new student starting today, Hannah Zegras." Mrs Antoni says as she scans the room.
I put my hand up to let her know I'm her knew student.
"Welcome to Plymouth Hannah! Are you related to a Trevor Zegras by chance?" Mrs Antoni says
"Yeah Trevors my twin brother actually." I say
"Oh fantastic!" she says as the conversation ends
"So we'll be mainly on computers today, if you've brought your own laptop you're welcome to use that." She says as she continues explaining
Luckily I brought my laptop so I am able to use that.
"Hey Hannah!" Jenny says
"hey Jenny!" I respond
"how have your classes been so far?" she asks me
"pretty good actually, I had boards for 2 hours before this class and it was super fun." I tell her
"Yeah I love that class. Was anyone in it that you know?" she asks
"Alex, Maddie, and Jack." I tell her
"What's your schedule look like?" she asks
"I have TV broadcasting with you during 6th hour." she lets me know
"Awesome!" I say
My phone goes off with a text:
Jack Hughes--- You have 4th free right?
Me--- Yeah
Jack Hughes--- same, wanna do something?
Me--- Sure but what?
Jack Hughes--- We could leave at lunch and go somewhere to eat for lunch and 4th?
Me--- yeah that sounds pretty good
Jack Hughes--- meet me at my car at lunch
Me--- gotcha Mr. Hughes
Jack Hughes--- Twinny for the winny!
Me--- Wtf dude that doesn't even make sense
Jack Hughes--- Okay
The bell went off signaling that 3rd hour was done and it was now lunch. I started making my way out to the parking lot. I got lost of course so I imagine Jack is sitting there wondering why I'm taking so long.
"Hannah!" I hear someone say to me
I turn around to see Emily and say hey.
"No offence but you kinda look lost." she points out and I laugh
"Yeah none is taken and I'm 100% lost." I let her know
"Where are you headed?" She asks me
"Just the parking lot, which should be an easy place to locate but apparently not to me." I say jokingly
"I'll show you, it's pretty close." she says
"The amount of people that have helped me with directions is amazing but also embarrassing." I say and she laughs
"What's for your lunch?" she asks me
"I honestly have no clue, Jack just said that we could have lunch somewhere during lunch and 4th since we both have a free hour." I say
"that sounds fun, at least that's one person so far that you know well enough." Emily says
"yeah I guess." I say as we reach the doors to get to the parking lot.
"Hey do you wanna come get lunch with us? I'm sure it's fine with Jack and we could get you back in time for 4th hour ." I ask Emily
"I mean I don't wanna interrupt whatever the kid has planned." Emily says
"Nope I'm calling him right now." I say
I start to FaceTime Jack and he answers almost right away. FaceTime:
"Hey where are you?" Jack asks looking slightly concerned
"I'm almost there don't worry " I let him know
"you sure I shouldn't send a search team?" He says with a huge smile
"Nah emily helped me find you." I say pointing my phone towards her showing Jack
"Wow you've got more friends than me and it's your first day!" Jack says
I let out a small laugh as we approach his car. I end the FaceTime and open the passenger side door.
"It's okay if em comes for the lunch hour right?" I ask jack
"yeah for sure." he says
"you heard the boy hop in." I say telling Emily to get in the car
"So are you liking your new neighbour Jack?" Emily asks once we're all seated in the car
Jack looks up from his phone looking at me and then turning to look at Emily. He starts to pull out of the parking lot and heads onto the road.
"Are you talking about the beasleys? They just moved in across the street from Turcs a few days but I haven't had the chance to say hi yet." Jack says knowingly sporting a massive smile
"I'm kidding relax. Yeah I do like my new neighbours." he says shooting a small smile to me before focusing back on the road.
"Real question is 'do your new neighbours like you'?" I say
"Come onnn, of course my new neighbours like me!" Jack says fully confident
"Okay Mr. Perfect" I say with a smirk
"Holy fuck turn on some music or the tension will just keep getting louder and louder." Emily says from the backseat and I shoot her a glare.
"hmm was it Trevor or Ella who put you up to this? Or maybe Luke but probably not cause I think he might be crushing on little Z a bit." Jack says to her while turning on the music
"shocker it was myself" Em says
"where are we going anyway?" I ask Jack
"I don't know, what do you feel like?" He asks me
"I'm down for whatever really all though some Taco Bell would hit right now." Emily says
"That's very true I might have to go with that." I say
"Taco Bell here we come!" Jack says.
