"My chest-" I coughed. "Like it's hard to breathe."

"Alright, sweetheart. Can you take off your hoodie, please?" Ash asked as he helped me sit up. It hurt like hell.

I nodded and he slowly took it off, I was in a sport bra.I didn't really have a choice here.

Mike placed the stethoscope again to my chest while Ashton gently touched my ribs.

I hissed and tried to push his hands.

"It hurts!"

"I know, I know, I'm sorry."

"So you hit your ribs pretty bad, but I believe they're not broken. We'll check them again in the hospital." He said.

I pushed them both away from me. I didn't need to go to the hospital. It's not like I was afraid, I just didn't want to.

"Hospital? No way." I shook my head a couple of times and regretted it immediately. I had a headache.

Ashton sat next to me, while Mike bended to my level. They looked at each other and then at me.

"Look, Lia. You were in a car accident, there may be a lot of bad things hidden in your body, which we can't check here."

I felt like a child when he spoke.

"You don't have to be scared-"

"I'm not scared."

He chuckled.

"Alright, so why you don't want to go?" Mike spoke.

"I just don't. Can't you just give me some more painkillers? Like it's not that bad, only bruised ribs." I tried to convince them.

Mike then put his hand on my thigh and push it a little. I hissed.

"Only ribs, huh?" He raised his eyebrows at me.

"Sweetheart, just stop being stubborn and let us take care of you."

"Okay, but I'm not going to stay at night there, just so you know."

I was an adult. I could discharged myself at any time from that place.

They just nodded.

"Your leg hurts too, right? Can you take of your sweatpants, so I'll check it here before we go?"

"Let me change in some shorts."

Of course I didn't want them to see my underwear, even if they were doctors. My sport bra was already too much.

Mike found some black loose shorts in my room and I changed as soon as I could with my injuries, when they turned around. They reached to my middle thighs so it wasn't that bad.

They gasped when they saw my legs.

"Okay, were going to take care of it in the hospital. I really want to get there as soon as possible." He handed me my hoodie back.

I put in on and tired to stand up, but Mike stopped me.

"We don't want you to hurt yourself even more. I'll carry you."

Soon we were in the car. Ashton was driving us to the hospital, while Michael was siting in the back with me.

"Why didn't you tell us about what happened?" Mike asked and rubbed my arm lightly.

"I don't really want to talk about it right now." That was the end of our conversation.

I closed my eyes and tried to forget about pain.

Soon we arrived and Mike picked me once again.
We run into the ER and he put me on a bed.

"Doctor Clifford? Doctor Irwin? I thought your shift has ended?" Young nurse came to us while they were attaching some cabels to my chest.

"Yes, but our friend had an accident so we have to examine her quickly. Can you prepare echo? And book CT scans because she has concussion and  X-ray." Ashton quickly explained to her.

"Alright, sweetheart. We have to take off your bandaids and see what's wrong. We'll give you some painkillers in a moment."

I let them do what they needed to. I wasn't listening to their conversation. I didn't even care that they were touching my legs and they weren't shaved.

They cleaned my wounds and put different band-aids on it. It hurt like hell but I didn't show it.

"I put an IV and give you painkillers." Mike explained as he took my arm in his hands.

I wasn't afraid so I let him do it without complaining.

"You're knee is very swollen. Does it hurt?" I shook my head.

It actually didn't, which was weird. But as soon as he touched it, I almost screamed.

"Ouch, fuck!" I tried to push him away.

"Sorry, we need an x-ray on that as well." Ashton said.

I soon started to feel good. Nothing hurt and I was almost relaxed. They did an echo on my stomach-no fluid inside, which was good.

Then they took me to do CT scan, and again - except consussion, nothing was wrong.

But unfortunately during x-rays, it turned out I had two cracked and bitten ribs, that's why it was hard to breathe. There was also something wrong with my knee, but it wasn't sprained or broken. I was glad.

"You were lucky actually. It could end up much worse." Mike told me.

He then again listened to my heart and lungs and I rolled my eyes. I wasn't bad injured and they were acting like I was dying.

"You need to stay in a bed for a week, okay? Try not to move much, only if it's necessary. We'll help you clean your wounds everyday, so don't worry about it." I nodded. "And you have to have a brace on your knee, if you're going to walk."

Ashton showed me how to put it on my leg and it was a little uncomfortable.

"Can we go home now? I'm tired." I asked after they told me about all do's and don'ts.

They gave me some strong painkillers through IV. I actually couldn't feel anything.

Ash detached everything from my body and put out an IV.

This time he carried me to the car because "we want you to walk as little as possible."

They way home we spent in silence. I didn't mind at all. I had a lot to thing about.

We visited pharmacy to buy painkillers and some ointment for my open wounds.

As soon as we get back home, I wanted to go to my room and just rest.

But of course, it didn't go as planned.

Michael stopped me by catching my arm.

"Can we talk now?"

Kill me.
