"Can we talk now?"

Kill me.

"I'm really tired. Can we do it tommorow?" I asked hopefully.

"We'd rather now."

He then pushed me lightly to the kitchen, when Ashton was preparing something to eat.

"Oat meal is okay for you?" He asked and I just nodded. I wasn't hungry, but I didn't want to argue.

"We just want to know what happened, how and why" Ashton said while he sat with us at the table.

I sighed. I wanted it all to be over.

"I was just walking to the store while a car hit me, I guess. I haven't seen it before and it just happened really fast. And then I couldn't feel anything, I mean nothing hurt, I thought I wasn't bad injured." I explained. I was embarrassed because I caused so much troubles.

"Why didn't you wait for the ambulance? They wanted you to stay there." Mike rubbed my hand to give me some comfort.

"I'm not sure. I can't explain why I did that. I guess there was a lot of people and I didn't want attention? Also I couldn't trust anyone out there? I don't know. I thought I could take care of myself at home. And actually I did. If you didn't find out something was wrong, it all would just heal." I shrugged my arms.

"I get it, I really do, but please next time just tell one of us, or Luke. Your health is really important. You were lucky this time, but it could end up much worse."

I nodded and started to eat. I was on a strong medicine, so I couldn't feel any pain.

"You should call Luke after this. We didn't tell him, but he deserves to know." Mike told me.

It was good they didn't tell him. I could easily change a little details in my story, so it wouldn't look that bad.

After eating, I went to my room and lied in bed. It was late evening and I knew Luke wouldn't have any meetings know so I decided to facetime him.

I waited a couple on seconds and then his was appeared on my screen.

"Hi Luke!" I said smiling.

His expression changed in one moment when he saw how my face looked like.

"I'm fine, really."

"What the hell, Amelia?" He almost yelled and I guess it brought Calum's attention because immediately I could see his face too. He wasn't happy either.

"I had a little accident, but everything's fine. No broken bones." I shrugged my shoulders.

"How did it happen? The boys know?" He asked.

"The car hit me, but Ash and Mike took care of me, so no need to be worried now." Their eyes widened.

"Oh my god" Calum sighed. "What injuries do you have?"

"A few scratches, bruises and something with my knee, I don't remember know. But I'm good." I smiled once more to confirm what I said. "How's your trip, guys?"

"Don't try to change the subject." I rolled my eyes.

"I don't. I told you everything."

But I skipped some details.

"Alright." He sighed. "Everything's fine in here. We made a good deal, so we're happy."

"When are you guys coming back?"

"Four days. I can try to do it sooner. I want to take care of you"

"No need for this. I'm good and I have Mike and Ash."

We talked for a while and I started to fall asleep.

"I think you should rest. I'll call you tomorrow." Luke said.

And as I was going to reply, I heard a knock on my door."

"Hold on a second." I said to Luke. "Come in!"

The door opened and Ashton came in. He noticed I talk with my brother.

"Oh, hi Luke!" He waved and then sit next to me.

I started to feel a little nervous. I wanted to end this conversation as soon as possible. Ashton could say something I didn't tell Luke.

"Luke, I'm really sleepy now. Love you, bye!"

"Wait!" He almost yelled. "Ashton, tell me honestly, how is she?"

Please don't say anything wrong.

"She's a little bitten up, but in a couple of days, she'll feel like a newborn." He squeezed my healthy knee lightly. "I'm just glad we caught it so soon. I hope she won't make this mistake in a future again after all."

That was it.

"What? Man, what are you talking about?" He asked with eyes wide opened.

Ashton turned completely in my direction and studied my expression for a moment.

"She didn't tell you." He told, almost whispered.

"She didn't tell me what?! Ash?!"

"It doesn't matter now, Luke." I said slowly looking at Ash and silently asking him to not tell anything.

"Apparently it does, Lia. What is he talking about? What did you do?"

"I think he needs to know." Ashton said.

"He doesn't!" I yelled. "He wasn't here when it happened and I'm an adult. I can have my own secrets!" I yelled.

"Now I need to know. What's going on?!"

"Luke doesn't need to know, Ash. You know that." I looked angry at him.

"It'll be fine." He squeezed my knee again but I pushed him away.

Childish.

"Luke, when she got hit by this car-"

"Ash, please." I was on the edge. I literally could start crying.

"-she didn't wait for an ambulance, but she came back home, took care of herself and tried to hid everything from us."

There was a few seconds of silence. I was holding my breath and just waiting for Luke to say something.

And it wasn't what I expected.

"I think I need to come home now."
