A FEW DAYS HAD PASSED, AND VEDA WAS RELAXING WHILE PLAYING SOME BEDWARS. Kaleb sat on her bed behind where she played the online game, half watching her and half scrolling through Twitter.

She was solely zoned into the game, especially because Kaleb wasn't exactly some golden boy in her life any longer. Fear racked up inside her when she thought about confronting it, though, so she went on stalling.

Because of this, the noise through her headphones didn't allow her to hear the constant pings delivering to her phone. It was only four or five notifications, but it was enough to piss off Kaleb. Ticked off, he snatched her phone from the end of the bed, entering the password and seeing who was being so persistent with their messages.

Seeing the sender was none other than one of people Veda had been more focused on than Kaleb, he grew annoyed. Curiosity killed the cat, he figured, scrolling up, eyes skimming on the previous messages between Veda and this "Sapnap."

Every conversation he saw seemed to be growing a fire of thoughts inside Kaleb's head. Veda didn't even talk to him the way she spoke to the online boy. Flames roared, burning anger into his actions. He wasn't even hurt—he didn't put much past Veda at this point. All he knew was that she was giving Sapnap more than she had ever given him.

"Veda," Kaleb called out, repeating it until she noticed.

Taking off her headset, she hummed and turned around to him. "What's up?"

Only Kaleb didn't reply. He just held up her phone, and slid it across the bed. Head tilted with skepticism, she grabbed it, seeing that all he had been doing was reading the texts between her and Sapnap.

"What's that?" Kaleb mumbled, putting down his own phone, staring straight at Veda.

"Why were you going through my shit?" she snapped back, standing up defensively.
