Rose pov I was dining with my mother, and her circle of back stabbing friends. I don't understand how my mother doesn't notice that they only talk with her cause she has a lot of money. I was getting irritated about the same conversations, about the duke of Spain, etc. I pull out a cigarette and light it up. I hear my mother clear her throat I face her, she whispers so the other ladies wouldn't hear
