my pov 

I sat next to a young-looking guy, likely my age, with a groomed beard and dark grey eyes. he was very attractive

Merlin are all the professors gonna be hot?! I looked at Professor Binns

maybe not

I looked at him and smiled "I'm Adrienne," I whispered to him smiling "dean" he whispered back 

"nice to meet yo-" I was interrupted by Minerva saying my name.

I stood up and smiled "Hello I'm Professor Campbell, I'm an ex-Auror and your new Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher, Flying instructor and referee. I hope to get to know all of you in the upcoming years" I gave all the kids a kind smile and sat back down as dean stood up after me.  

I took a sip of my pumpkin juice as Neville leaned over to me "flying instructor?" Neville whispered.

 I nodded with a smile "I played in school and was scouted by the sweetwater all-stars, but turned it down."I explained "Minerva said the school needed a new flying instructor so I volunteered" 

his eyes widened as he looked over me "you were scouted? you're so small!" he said at full volume as the noise in the great hall increased. I laughed as dean looked at me in shock "scouted?" he said, making me laugh harder "yeah as a keeper. I didn't take the offer, I just couldn't seeing myself doing something I love as a job. I prefer quidditch as a way to let off steam" 

Neville raised his eyebrows, but brushed it off "how many more surprises to you have up your sleeve, Campbell"

I smirked and then began to eat "I can turn into a panther," I said casually, taking a bite of my foot as both Dean and Neville choked on their food. I grinned into my drink as they tried to compose themselves 

"prove it," Neville said with a grin  

"I just got here and I don't want to scare the kids. come by my room later and ill prove it" I turned to face him 

"inviting me over already? buy me dinner first" he jokes, which earned him a slap on the shoulder.

dinner went by pretty fast and Neville had to take care of his plants, saying he'd be over in 20 minutes. I decided that was enough time to take a shower. I stepped out after a couple of minutes and went to find the bag that had my comfortable clothes in it. thinking it was left in the classroom I went to grab in in my towel. I opened the door to my room to find myself face to face with Neville. I turned bright red

not only was I nearly naked in front of a coworker.

"I was uh just about to knock on your door," he said, avoiding looking at me

"no don't worry, I lost track of time I just need to uh" I squeezed past him, he quickly moved out of the way. I grabbed the bag and walked back over to my room "just uh- give me two seconds" I chuckled "a great way to get to know each other" I said to ease the tension.

he chuckled "I think you'll just have to catch me in a towel to make it even," he said as I changed behind the closed door. I laughed as I put on a pair of sweatpants and a tank top, throwing a flannel over it. I walked out "don't say that you're manifesting it to happen," I said as I ran my fingers through my tangled wet hair 

I saw him sitting at my desk. no one should look that hot just sitting there. could we even date coworkers? shut up Adrienne you're getting too ahead of yourself. you just met him. 

"its time for you to prove that you can turn into a panther" he grinned at me, resting his forearms on his knees. 

I laughed and transformed into a large black panther. my dark brown eyes turning amber. I growled and walked up to him, rubbing against his legs before walking away and turning back into my human form. he sat back shocked "how do you- I mean I know that you are an animagus but- how- its- what?!" he said as I laughed "its a tedious process but it came in handy during interrogations," I shrugged and sat on my desk in front of him.

he looked up at me with a smile "any other surprises you care to share" I sat there pretending to think about it "no ill let you slowly find them out. what's the fun in telling you" I said, leaning forward

"I have a feeling there are a lot" he chuckled
