The sound of the door opening wakes me up as I look to see who it is.
"Sorry, (y/n), I didn't mean to wake you up..." he stops in the middle of my room as I stare at him, "I just wanted to you bring you some tea,"
He places the tea on my desk before turning to leave.
"Levi?"
"Yes?" he stops turning to face me.
"That wasn't...that wasn't you earlier...right?"
"No (y/n), it wasn't,"
"Okay," I throw the bedsheets to the side as I sit up at the edge of the bed. Brushing any stray flyaways back as I look down at the floor.
"I would never want to hurt you like that (y/n). I'm here to protect you and if I ever do hurt you..." he stops, his eyes soften as he tilts his head before looking down, "Then I don't deserve to be with you," I don't say anything because I don't know what to say, "I'm sorry (y/n). I'm sorry Thea put you through that and I'm sorry that I broke that trust we had,"
I cover my mouth with one hand while the other sits on my chest. As I try to keep my whimpers in, the sound of his hurt voice making my heartache.
"(y/n)?" he looks up before rushing over to me, "(y/n), are you okay?" I nod my head as he stands in front of me. Slowly he places a soft hand on the back of my head before bringing me into his stomach and I wrap my arm's around his waist the cries muffled by his shirt. "I'm so sorry, (y/n),"
He kneels down and places his hands on my face, wiping away the tears.
"If I ever hurt you..." he looks down, "Don't hesitate to leave (y/n). Okay?"
"Levi," I shake my head in his hands.
"Look at me (y/n)," he's serious as his stone gray eyes look back at me, "Don't hesitate. Whether I hurt you emotionally or physically, apart from training," I look at him the inner part of my eyebrows raised as he continues, "You don't deserve that (y/n), so please, don't hesitate,"
I nod, looking down at the floor as he stands back up grabbing the teacup he placed on the desk.
"Here, it'll get too cold if you don't drink it," I take the cup as he sits next to me.
As I always do, I let the steam hit my face before taking a sip. I wipe my eyes with my other hand before resting my head on his shoulders. His head resting on mine as he places his hand on my lap.
"Oh, Levi," I sigh as I reach over to my desk placing the empty cup down before standing up and stretching. Levi watches me before quickly looking down at his hands.
I let down my hair before walking into the bathroom to grab my hairbrush. Sitting at my desk I brush my hair while looking out the window. Zoning out and my brushing becomes slow as I continue to look out the window. Quickly I snap myself out of it, placing the brush on my desk. I look at Levi before turning to face him as I part my hair and start braiding one side. I give him a small smile before tilting my head.
"You want to help?" I ask remembering when he braided my horse's mane.
"Just because I did it that one time-"
"Oh come on," I roll my eyes sarcastically, "It looked good, you know how to braid hair Levi," I watch him stand up, "If you wanttt," he starts shaking his head, "I can braid your hair,"
"You're not braiding my hair. Especially if that's how you braid," he points at my messy braid and I give him a pout.
"Fine, you do it then," I turn my head and hand him the brush, I hear him scoff before he slowly brushes my hair. "Don't be scared Levi," my voice is full of sarcasm, "You've punched me harder," I roll my eyes as I undo my other braid. He continues to slowly brush my hair before sets the brush down on the desk. Slowly he separates my (h/c) hair into three sections. His braiding is slow, "Levi...stop going so-"
"Shhh," he whispers as he continues to concentrate on braiding my hair. "There...you tie it," he hands me the braid and I stare at it.
"How did you-"
"Tie it before it unravels,"
"It'll be fine," I mutter holding the perfect braid and a hair tie as Levi moves to the other side of my head, stretching across to grab the brush. "I still can't believe you watched me do this that one time," I scoff, "And now you're better than me," muttering through my pouted lips as he concentrates on the second braid.
I slightly turn my head and he pulls at the braid, "Stop moving,"
"I thought I saw something!"
"Liar,"
"Did you mess up?" I look at his braid.
"Tch, stupid. I didn't mess up,"
"Whatever," I mutter crossing my arms and sitting back.
"Stop fucking moving,"
"Why does it take you so long?"
"Why are you so annoying?"
"Ugh,"
"Here," he hands my the braid but I don't take it.
"You tie it,"
"(y/n), just tie it before it gets loose,"
"You can tie it," I raise my hand as I hold the hairtie up but he just stands there, "You can't use a hairtie Levi?" trying to contain my smile, "Here look, it's not that hard," I slowly tie the braid making sure he's watching. "See not too bad right?" I look up as he's bent over while he stares intently at the end of the braid. "Do you want me to show you again?"
"It's fine," he stands straight brushing his hair back as he walks over to the chair I threw my jacket onto, "Let's go," he throws the jacket at me as I stand up I walk over to him and he hands me my cape as well.
"What are we going to do? It's almost dark out anyways,"
"Well, if you hadn't slept all day it wouldn't be almost dark," he mutters as he opens the door for me. Shaking my head as I roll my eyes I walk out into the hallway Levi closing the door behind me.
"Oh wait," I open the door and jog back in grabbing the teacup from my desk. Once I give it a quick wash I head back out to Levi standing against the wall.
"You could have just left it,"
"Yeah but now it's clean," I raise it up to him and he takes it before turning to walk in the direction of his room. As I wait outside I admire the braids and how well they turned out, it's only because it's easier to do it on someone else, I tell myself rolling my eyes.
"Let's go," he walks out of his room leading the way and I follow next to him.
Before we can make it outside a grinning Hange runs towards us.
"Oh! Levi, (y/n), I'm glad I caught you," she squeels
"Spit it out Hange," Levi grumbles already annoyed by her presence
"We figured out where the book is. We can leave tonight if that okay with you Levi,"
He looks up at Hange and tells her that it's up to Erwin. She drops her shoulders begging Levi to just say yes, he doesn't. She leaves with a groan before quickly running in the direction of Erwin's office. I watch Levi look down at the ground before slightly turning his head to look at me. His narrow eyes and unamused expressions staring at me. He doesn't say anything, simply turns his head forward and starts walking.
[um- haha awk...also apparently a lot of guys don't know how to use a hairtie the more you know huh ttyl]
