"You're screwed"

Draco glared at his friend, Blaise was leaning against a bedpost with a smirk on his face

Draco grabbed his pillow and groaned, Blaise hadn't seen him this worked up ever since he first realized he had some feelings for Hermione Granger, they passed after a few months, or so Draco thought, Blaise was having the time of his life watching his best friend act like a teenage girl with a hopeless crush

"What am I going to do?" Draco mumbled through the pillow

"Just confess your undying love for the head girl, Mate" Blaise suggested

"Whose confessing his undying love for the head girl?" Another voice asked, Draco removed his pillow and saw Theo smirking in the doorway

"Draco, he has once again fallen for Hermione Granger," Blaise told the boy

"Again? Mate you're screwed" Theo chuckled

"Don't you think I bloody know that?" Draco asked

He groaned again and covered his face with the pillow, the smell of Jasmine engulfed him

The two Slytherins continued teasing the blond

"It's clear, I can't be around her" Draco concluded and sat up

"What?" Both boys asked him

"I can't be her friend because knowing me I will want to be more than that and that's too selfish, I'm not even worthy of being her friend" Draco explained

"You're an idiot," Theo said

"No, I'm not, I don't want to be around her knowing that I will always want to be something more, it's not fair for her, I'm a deatheater and I will always be a deatheater"

"You do know that you don't have a choice? The headmistress has forced you two to do a dance? And you're the head boy" Blaise said

Draco swore, life just seemed to love to torment him, placing him in situations where he could easily find his happiness but only seemed to use that to prove that he doesn't deserve it

And to torture him even more, he heard her angelic laughter enter the common room, she has been getting better, he still assumed that she wasn't sleeping but now that she had someone to talk to, she seemed to be getting better, and she's been helping Draco get better without him even realizing, he didn't drink himself to the point of passing out anymore

"Speak of the witch and she will appear" Draco mumbled

Theo was already out the door, followed by Blaise and Draco tried to calm down, following his friends they met up with the Gryffindors, Slytherins, and Ravenclaw, Luna gave Blaise a kiss on the cheek and smiled innocently, Draco looked to the brunette who smiled at him, with great pain he forced himself to ignore her and look away, he saw the glare that Blaise sent him but didn't acknowledge it

"What were you three ladies doing?" Theo asked them

"We went to Hogsheads for a while, Hermione needed to get some fabrics" Pansy answered

"Where's She-Weasley? Or Tori?" Draco asked

"Ginny had quidditch practice and Astoria had an assignment to complete" Hermione answered, Draco didn't look at her, Hermione furrowed her eyebrows at him

"Well, we must be off, I'll see you later?" Luna asked Blaise, who nodded

The three girls said their goodbyes, Draco said goodbye to Pansy and Luna but didn't acknowledge Hermione
