It all started with a dance

Before long Christmas had arrived and the group was sitting around the Tree

"Theo! Sit down!" Hermione ordered

"Yes mother" Theo mumbled and sat beside Pansy while pouting

Hermione glared at him, causing him to stick his tongue out at her

Hermione stuck hers out at him and he threw a pillow at her

"Oi! Respect your mother" Draco ordered

"Yes father" Theo mumbled, although he had a smirk on his face

"Malfoy! Don't encourage him" Hermione laughed

"Come on let's open the presents!" Harry said

The group gave each other their presents, Harry got Hermione a first edition children's book that her parents used to read to her when she was younger, the Slytherins and the Ravenclaw were confused when Hermione started crying

"Harry...where did you find this?" She asked

"It's a secret" Harry said and hugged her

Hermione smiled and thanked him, they went back to their spots and Draco put his chin on her shoulder

"Everything alright love?" Draco whispered

"Yes, everything is fine" she said

They continued giving one another presents, Hermione got Draco a pair of dragon cuff links which change colour if he wants to match them with his suits, he was admiring them when they went to Hogsheads together

The present exchange ended and everyone had a pile of gifts

"There's two more" Draco said

"No there isn't" Hermione corrected

"Taffy" Draco called out, the elf appeared with a case, the engravings were of flowers, and gold vines, it was beautiful, Hermione traced the designs with admiration, her second gift was a black velvet box that Hermione quickly registered as a jewellery box

The elf gave Hermione both presents and Hermione furrowed her eyebrows in confusion

"Come on open them" Draco nudged her

Hermione opened the bigger box and gasped, it was a brand new sewing machine along with hundreds of different threads and needles, she picked up a couple and felt the softness of the thread

"It was my mother's, do you like it?" Draco asked

"It's beautiful! I love it" Hermione whispered, still mesmerized by her gift "but I can't take it, it's your mother's, what if she wants it back when she gets out?" Hermione asked him

"I told her, it was her idea, she told me to give it to you" he said

"Oh Draco...it's beautiful, I love it" she said and kissed his cheek

"Come on open the other one" he said, taffy gave her the second box and Hermione opened it

She let out a louder gasp and laughed slightly

"Draco! Th-this is too much" she said

"Come on show us" Pansy said, Hermione turned the box and showed them the necklace she was admiring on their 'date'

"It's beautiful!" Pansy exclaimed, Luna traced it gently

"You're so in love with her mate" Theo whispered, low enough so that Hermione couldn't hear it but loud enough for Draco

Draco looked at Hermione who was talking with Pansy and Luna and admiring the presents, she had the biggest smile on her face that Draco assumed her cheeks were starting to hurt
