We were half an hour away from Addy's house when I started overthinking again

I couldn't concentrate on the road and started sweating

"Are you okay?" Rae asked

"Corpse please pull over to the right!" Ludwig added

I did and we just sat there for a while

"Are you sure this is a good idea?" Rae questioned

"I-" My heart started pounding

"Take your time, breathe"

I couldn't get a word out

"I'll drive" Ludwig announced and gave me a reassuring look

"Guys" I calmed down "I think I'm not ready"

"I figured" Rae gave me a comforting smile "And that's okay"

"We can drive back if you'd like to" Sykkuno suggested

"No- No. I'll just stay at the hotel"

"You sure?" Toast asked

"I don't even know but it feels right"

Ludwig and I switched seats and I put my earphones in

Rae looked back at me, thinking I wouldn't hear their conversation "I hope Addy won't be too sad"

"Yeah, same" Ludwig admitted

"We have to focus on Corpse right now though" Sykkuno reminded

"I know" Rae sighed

I felt like a horrible person

I had planned all of this and now I'm the one who's not coming along
