Alex walked towards the playground, knowing that Matt would look for him.
He just wanted to play with kids his age.
He saw some boys playing and ran over to them.
"Hello I'm Alex!",he said excited.
The boys looked at him frowning.
"So?", one sneered.
"I.... I was hoping I could play with you guys", Alex replied.
The boys gave each other knowing glances.
"Alright let's play"

They gathered him forming a circle.
"So what should we play?",Alex asked excited to make friends.
"How bout beat up the twerp?"
A tall boy suggested, smiling.
Another then kicked Alex's shin.
"Ow!"
Alex fell to the ground.
Soon the boys began to hit him and pelt him with mud balls.
He cried out in pain.
Matt was right,he thought.

"Leave him alone!",he heard a cold stern voice say.
It was a girl about his age with long red hair, she had a bruise on her arm.

"Or what girly?", the tall boy said looking at her as she stood in front of Alex's body, protecting it with hers.

"And no body gets hurt", she said.
At this the boys laughed.
Is she crazy?!, Alex thought as he managed to sit up.

"Listen little girl.....", the tall boy snarled taking hold of her arm.

Another took hold of her other arm.
"Degenerates", she said calmly looking at them,"Let the boy go".

"I won't let a bitch like you insult me!", the tall boy tried to punch her.
She swung her leg so fast Alex wasn't sure what happened.
He saw her kick him in the gut and the tall boy fell clutching his stomach.
"We're too young to use those kind of words", she said looking at him.

"How dare you?!",a burly boy asked surprised and angry.
"Just let the boy go", she replied staring straight at him.

"You're just a girl how dare you look down on us?",he screamed.

"Yah! We're gonna teach you a lesson"
"She hit our friend!".

She sighed. Boys are morons, she thought.

"I understand now. You want to fight?", she asked still standing in front of Alex.
"Where's Matt?!",he thought."These guys will pulverized her"
Three 10 year old boys against one scrawny looking girl.

The burly boy rushed to her with his fist.
"Lame", she thought as she quickly stepped forward dodging his fist and landing a blow on his cheek.
He staggered backwards and spat out blood.
His two friends tried to push her down.
She pushed one with so much force that he hit the burly boy.
The last boy tried to kick her side but she grabbed his leg and pushed him to the ground.
Tears threatened to fall as he shook with fear staring at her expressionless face.

"Scared? If you're scared why are you pretending to be brave." She wiped his tears." Sorry I didn't mean to scare you".
She got off him and walked towards Alex who stared in awe.

"What's your name kid?", she asked.
"A-Alex",he answered.
"Don't be so weak, what if I hadn't come who'd save you then", she said sounding like Matt.

"Will you teach me how to fight?", Alex asked determined.
"Fight?", she laughed.
"Defend yourself you mean", she corrected him."Come tomorrow and I'll teach you what I know"

He did he came everyday. She'd always laughed when he failed to punch her
saying she was a girl.
"You're so short", she'd say as she patted his head.
"I'm not! Boys aren't as matured as girls", he'd reply.
"Whatever you're just not tall no girl would ever like you", she'd joke.
"If I grow even an inch taller than you you'll have to be my girlfriend",he said seriously.
"What?!", she laughed." Sure thing even though it'll never happen".

Then she had to move away.
"I'm leaving"
"When?",he asked.
"Today", she smiled." Don't you have anything to say to me?"
"You should get rid of your talkative habit or else no boy will like you",he said pouting. 'Don't leave is what I want to say but I can't......'
"Is that all?", she asked.
"Yes! And take care!".
"What a heartless boy! You're not going to ask me my name", she said.
'Her name!'.
He still didn't know her name.
"What's your name?",he asked.
She sighed,"Victoria. My name's Victoria".
"Anyways your a foolish idiot, take care of yourself and don't let anyone bully you", she said getting up.
"I won't",he replied.
"Alex you fool I won't see you again take care".

"Are you sure you don't remember me?", Alex asked Vicky as they walked towards her home.
"I've told you for a million times, no", Vicky said." You probably made a mistake".
"No! It's you! Don't you remember you'd beat everyone who tried to bully me, everyone said you were crazy but I.....", Alex mouth got covered by Vicky's hand.
"Enough! Whether I am her or not, right now I just want to study and get rid of this enchantment"she said frustrated.
Alex nodded and sighed.
"Alex you're a good friend please let's keep it that way", she said.
"I just need to think",he said walking away.
Vicky sighed.
