Verity would be the first to admit that time at Hogwarts when by oddly quickly. She didn't mind much — the Bellova girl preferred to be in the company of her father in their Glasgow apartment rather than in the crowded Gryffindor dorm she was currently in, her four poster bed set up between Hermione's and Fay's. The flickering light coming from Hermione's wand as she spent the night reading under the cover had led Verity into a fiercer headache than she had the previous night when she had gone to sleep. Everything seemed florescent (not in the good way) and diminishing as the sunlight flooded through the dorm window around six thirty that morning, Hermione coaxing Fay awake — Verity lay in her bed facing the wall with a pillow scrunched over her head and when Hermione came over to wake Verity up (she had always been the first awake ever since their first year at Hogwarts, and had always had the pleasure of waking the rest of the girls in their dorm up each day) she had groaned and smacked her hand in Hermione's general direction out of annoyance (it had missed — by a lot).

"Go away," She grumbles, shifting in bed, but the animosity quickly flourishes into annoyance as she realizes that she is now fully awake and as much as her body protests the idea of getting up and going down to breakfast, her brain will not stop working now and the gears and screws already tick in it, processing the morning sunlight and the shifting sound of Fay, worried about being late, and Hermione still trying to wake Parvati, and the sound of Lavender complaining that she can't find her hairbrush. Verity lifts herself off her bed halfway, pulling a jumper over her shoulders as she shivers and glares pointedly at Lavender, tossing her the hairbrush that had been lying in front of Fay's bed. "I will pay you a hundred galleons if you just lower your voice, for Godric's sake," She hisses, climbing out of bed.

Fay, it seems, is almost ready. Her tie is weirdly strewn across her neck and she's still blinking the sleep out of her eyes as she brushes her deep black locks on her head, combing through them carefully, but she looks presentable. Verity groans, knowing full well she has to hurry or else Fay will start complaining that they're going to be late again — yet, the girl refuses to go down to the Great Hall without Verity time and time again.
