Hitoka couldn't do it.

She could never kill the princess.

But the League doesn't know that. Or at least she thought they didn't.

"I hear the princess is going to get married at the end of this week," Dabi says to Hitoka, lifting his eyebrows. "Apparently right now a bunch of royals are gathered at the palace, partying away while we rot."

Hitoka looks at her feet.

"I don't know why she's not dead yet," she lies, "but it's not my fault. My control is weak because of the distance."

Of course distance has nothing to do with Hitoka's quirk, but the League doesn't know that, and she can use it to her advantage.

Dabi nods. "Yeah, yeah. I get it. But Shigaraki is getting restless."

"When is he not?"

"You know how he is."

Dabi smiles. "But hey, it's almost time."

"I know," Hitoka replies, her throat dry.

"It's perfect," he laughs, "right when all of their allies are gathered in one spot."

Hitoka fakes a smile. "They won't know what hit them."

Dabi smiles.

"We'll take them out," he chuckles.

". . .One by one."

"Your dreams," Shigaraki says, waving a hand absentmindedly, "tell me."

Unfortunately the League knows of Hitoka's dreams; they use them like they have a spy. Which, in a way, they do.

"Security is as loose as always," Hitoka lies, knowing very well it's quite the opposite, "and the royals are all gathered together in celebration. The advisor I've taken control of is quite young. Fairly stupid, too." She lies again. "He doesn't talk about much with the others. The Duke didn't pick a very good target."

She shoots a glare at the old man standing to the side to show her fake disproval. He shivers.

Shigaraki scratches his neck. "Perfect," he says, his voice raspy, "the plan will begin soon. Be ready."
