'Wake up King we got some Rouges who tried killing a family along the pack borders' a border guard said through the mind link

I left out a small groan and look over at my beautiful Queen. She looked beautiful while sleeping. Her messy black hair all over her face. I smiled softly at the sight of my beautiful mate

I've never smiled this much before I am used to showing no expression.

I got up and started to get ready

Before I headed out I took another glance at Scarlett and craved her touch even more. I sighed and headed to the guard's grounds. A place where the guards on duty can sleep and eat. Outback is where we torcher and interrogate Rouges and pack members who define my orders.

I loved to see the fear on people's faces when they see me I also love to hear the screams and yells for help as torture the living hell out of them

I love the adrenaline rush I get after ripping their throat out or after I gut them alive

'I'd rather be with our mate' Avery growled

'Me too, but we can't let her distracted us from our duties' I said to Avery

I entered the guard's grounds

'Let's get this over with so we can spend the day with our mate' Avery huffed

I agreed silently

I rolled over and let out a sigh when I felt that the other side of the bed was cold

He left

I huffed out and got up I walked onto his patio that overlooked the pack grounds. I smiled at the pups running around near the forest. I looked up at the blue sky and closed my eyes and took a deep breath.

I'm not a typical witch. I wasn't taught magic the same way as other kids my age. My parents and the elders didn't know how to teach me. As I grew I learned I could do anything I put my mind to. At times of distress, I have to say spells out loud to control myself and in other times, it's as if my powers controlled me I-

I was pulled from my thoughts when I heard a loud pitch scream. I looked in the direction of the scream and saw the little kids running away from the forest.

I then saw a little girl run from the forest only to be thrown back into the forest.

I gasped softly and jumped off the patio from the second story and caught myself with a bit of magic. I ran towards the forest and I wondered how no one heard the screams I ran into the forest I was suddenly pinned against a tree.

"Where are you going princess," Acacias said pushing a strand of hair behind my ear

"There was a little girl- she was pulled into the woods," I said breathlessly

"Hey there is no girl if there was I would know," he said cupping my face with his hand

"Yes- yes there is she has blonde hair and was wearing a bright pink dress I saw her with my own eyes," I said pushing him away

"I will send out pack warriors it's too dangerous out here," he said grabbing my wrist

"No, i-" I was cut off by a scream

Acacius and I looked in the direction the scream came from and before I could say something I ran towards the direction of the scream and there I saw a big brown wolf over the little girl who was sobbing before I could even react Acacias shifted into his wolf his clothes shredded into pieces and he attacked the wolf he threw the wolf towards a tree the wolf grunted and got back up I ran to the little girl checked if she was hit and saw a big gash on her forearm. I looked over at the wolf and Acacias who seemed to be mind linking I took a part of Acacias shredded clothes and used it as a bandaged for the little girl I picked up the little girl who was now passed out I looked at Acacias and he lunged over at the wolf and ripped it's head off without hesitation. He then turned to look at me with the wolf's head still in his mouth he dropped the wolf's head once he saw me. Then came out 2 pack warriors from the forest. Acacius snapped at them and they bowed in fear. Acacius let out a loud growl and one of the wolves ran off and returned with clothes and placed it behind a tree.
