Scarlett's POV
Your life is like a wild roller coaster full of ups and downs and loops- and sometimes it breaks down.
It's okay to break down.
"My mother many things-" I swallowed hard
I looked out to the crowd of witches and warlocks who traveled from all over to be here
"She was an inspiration, a role model, a friend and she was my mom," I said looking down at my hand that was placed on the podium.
"Today we are here to pay respect to my mother- Former Queen, Kayla Norris m-may she r-rest in peace," I said stuttering a little as so as I finished I walked quickly off the stage and was embraced by a warm hug from Acacias
"It's okay you did good" Acacias said hugging me tightly
He then pulled away and cupped my cheeks
"I know it was hard but it's all over now," he said before planting a small kiss on my forehead
I pulled away and tried to hold back tears
"I ugh have to go check if everything is in check in the house for after the memorial" I pulled away and headed to the house
Images of my mother's death filled my head and tears start rolling down my cheek uncontrollably
It was as if my throat started to close and it was getting hard to breathe. I stopped in my tracks and looked around and then I felt like I was stabbed in the chest I bent over holding a hand over my chest
Suddenly felt a hand on my back which made me flinch
"Breath Scarlett," he said
I looked up and saw Bruno
"Get off of me," I said pushing him away harshly
"Scarlett breathe you are shaking," Bruno said softly
And he was right I was shaking he stepped forward and I took a step back
"Stay away from me Bruno," I said breathlessly
My heart was beating faster than before
" I know I messed up and I'm sorry for what I did"
I could hear Bruno talking but I'm more focused on not passing out
"Stop I will hurt you," I said to Bruno who kept trying to get closer to me
'Acacias come to me'
Suddenly a pair of strong arms grabbed my waist and spun me around
"Let get you inside." Acacias said softly
"Leave," Acacias said coldly to Bruno
As we approached the door I could feel my breathing return to normal. Just a second ago when Acacias touched me my emotions started to calm down.
"Ah Queen Scarlett everything is- oh my let's get you a glass of water," Lexi said dropping her planner on the table next to her
"No it's okay I'm fine ugh just update me on everything going on please," I said to lean on Acacias
" uh okay well everyone is all set I'm waiting on the caterers they are going to be here in a bit they are kinda behind schedule but they will be here in 3 mins," Lexi said looking through her planner
