Stay Alive

Prologue

Author's Note: Welcome to my crossover story between Pokemon and Stay Alive! So unlike my Outbreak story, this is based on the movie and will mainly follow the storyline of the movie. If you want to send in other ways for the characters to die instead of the movie, than by all means go ahead. Also this is an AU story so Pokemon will not be involved in this, since I didn't see how I could fit them into the story or plot. Some characters from the game will make appearances in the story, but will mainly revolve around the selected characters from the anime

"Game over" read the screen as a 16 year boy with long messy brown hair and a scarlet red tennis visor stared at the screen, shocked to have gotten himself killed by getting hung off of a staircase after trying to get away from a... creepy woman? Who had trapped him inside this house he was supposedly investigating for clues. Getting over his shock, he shakingly reached for his cell phone and dialed a familiar number

Meanwhile in another part of town, a brown haired teenager was currently having a chat with his girlfriend; Hilda White, until he heard his cell phone ringing. After sending a goodbye text to Hilda, he grabbed his phone "How was it, Nate?" he asked knowing who it was

'Played this new game called Stay Alive' Nate answered with slight fear in his voice

"Yeah?" asked the brown haired teen facing away from his laptop to listen to his friend

'Seriously it was creepy, Hilbert. Really creepy' Nate said as Hilbert could now hear the fear in his voice more clearly. It surprised Hilbert that his friend would get scared over a game called Stay Alive... what could possibly be so bad about the game 'But umm enough about that, want to come over, can you come over for awhile' Hilbert heard Nate ask while stuttering his words

As much as Hilbert wanted to be there for his friend, he couldn't. He still needed to finish off his homework which he had left for the last minute again "Sorry Nate, can't make it today..." he told his friend, while drifted his eyes towards the calendar and saw he was free on the weekend "However, if it makes you feel better, I'll come over this weekend and we can do whatever you want" Hilbert offered and hoped Nate would be alright with that

'I'll see you this weekend then' Nate said sorta fast and with that ended the call. Hilbert stared at his cell phone and hoped nothing would happen to his friend

Back with Nate, he placed his cell phone onto his desk. He sighed in defeat and moved closer towards his screen. He looked at his player character, which was still hanging off the staircase. He stared at it for a good while, until he could no longer. He started feeling colder as if the room had suddenly dropped a good 30 degrees

Suddenly he heard what either sounded like a gunshot or thunder. Nate looked startled once he heard the noise and after a moment of hesitation, he got up from the couch and walked over towards the cabin to get a flashlight

Nate slowly made his way over towards the staircase, but stared at it for a few seconds before shaking his head at his foolishness. He made his way upstairs, heading the noise once again as he got closer to the top.

He stopped at the door, which it seemed is where the noise was coming from. Reaching out with his hand shaking, Nate slowly opened the door and saw none other than two of his other friends Hugh, who was on the floor and Rosa, who was on the bed, watching what looked like a horror film

"Couldn't you knock?" Hugh asked his childhood friend, upset that he had to pause the movie right when it was getting to the good part

"Sorry... thought I heard some noise like a gunshot... forgot you two were up here" Nate apologized "Anyway, I found you both in the game... and after that unfortunately I got killed"

"Aww Nate, the point is to not get killed" Rosa said as Nate sweat dropped and decided to not mention how he got killed since he was sure Rosa would make a big deal out of it

"We haven't played for hours" Hugh commented while shooting a glance at the TV and Nate got the message as he waved goodbye to Rosa and closed the door

Later that Night, Nate suddenly found himself startled awake as he relived the death of his character. He looked around his room with wide eyes and reached for the flashlight on which was resting beside his night table. Shakingly, he turned it on and walked out of his room with fear written all over his face

"Ok it was only a dream Nate... nothing to worry about... you've seen worse stuff than that" he said to himself out loud as he made his way further away from his room

While he was walking around, Nate couldn't help but feel as if he were once again playing the game, except this time he was in the place of his character. However, as soon as that idea came into his head, Nate shook himself at the ridiculous idea and thought about how silly he was acting

However, soon his expression grew to that of surprise as he looked up to see none other than what looked like the same creepy lady from the game. Nate hit his head and also rubbed his eyes to make sure he wasn't dreaming or seeing things... however nothing he did made the lady disappear

"This is not real... this is not real" Nate didn't like where this was going and made his way up the stairs, failing to take note that this was going exactly like the game. The poor frightened brunette ran as fast as he could upstairs, hoping to wake up Hugh and Rosa

Once he opened the door to their room however, Nate found a real shock. Both his friends were now dead. "Rosa... Hugh... No! This isn't real! It can't be" he said with tears in his eyes at seeing his two childhood friends no longer alive

Nate didn't know what to think anymore. He wanted this all to be a dream.., he hoped all of this was in fact a dream. While Nate was busy denying everything that had just happened, he failed to notice as a rope of some sort crawled onto his neck and is soon pushed backwards, breaking the banister

While struggling to try and keep himself alive for a while longer as well as free himself from the rope, Nate soon realized something... this was exactly how he died in the game and now at age 16, his life was going to be over as he could no longer keep this up and felt himself slip away

Author's Note: I am so sorry to anyone who loves Rosa, Nate and Hugh... I just didn't know who else to use in the prologue and went with the Black and White 2 protagonists/rival mainly due to the fact that I don't really know much about them. No hate or anything to them of course, just they were the unfortunate trio to be killed :(
