"Ladies and gentlemen, I present to you our game for today's game date; Stay Alive" Gary said with a voice that sounded like those game show hosts "This game is based on the true story of an ancient noblewoman known as the Blood Countess"

"Hope it's worth it" May mumbled from beside Ash, who gave her a shrug

"It looks kinda creepy" Lucas commented after having a look at the cover

Ash sighed and saw as Gary placed the disk into his game station. All the teens grabbed a hold of the controllers (with Gary and Leaf bringing theirs over as well) and watched as the screen started loading the game up

"Where's the start option?" Drew asked with narrowed eyes after waiting 2 minutes

"It isn't letting me start the game" Gary answered

"Maybe you're supposed to read that prayer right there" Dawn said with many looking at her as if she had two heads "It was just a thought" she mumbled

"Voice-activated? That's next-generation technology" Leaf stated, but since there wasn't any other option, then they might as well try "Let's give it a shot I guess. OK. Let's go. Everybody say this, right?"

"Alright" everyone said, although some said it hesitantly

"Come to me, clouds. May you rise as an evil storm born to rip them open. Let the cover of night bear witness and destroy those who resist so they shall harm me not. Let the blood of many cleanse me, preserving beauty eternal, I pray you."

"Welcome. If you're listening to this, it means you've made a grave mistake. You spoke the words and soon you will die for it. At this very moment, the evil of this place courses through your veins. You have been marked for death. Your choice has brought you here to Gerouge Plantation. Countess Elizabeth Bathory opened Lavender Town as a finishing school for young..."

"Lavender Town?" said Leaf in shock

"You've heard of it?" asked Lucas as he turned towards the brunette beside Gary

"Lavender Town is said to be spooky and memorable on its own, but there's something weird about the myth surrounding that place... maybe this game will reveal something"

"The evil of Lavender Town has been reborn. Your salvation lies beyond the gates of this plantation. Your only chance is this: uncover the horrible truth about Lavender Plantation and stop the evil, but in order to do that, you must stay alive"

"I'm starting to get a little creeped out" Dawn said with slight fear

"Sh!" Gary shushed her and focused on the game as he and everyone grabbed a pair of headphones and placed it on them

Slowly the game began and everyone took notice as the screen started to show a grave yard

"Of course it would be a grave yard" Drew commented sarcastically as Lucas sent him a glare to be quiet

Drew slowly makes his way over to a red object and touches a rose that the game directed him to pick it "How is a rose supposed to help us out?"

"Supposedly it's said that the undead spirits cannot move across wild roses and as such, it'll give us a chance to escape ghosts we can't face" Leaf explained as Ash nodded, remembering what a partner of his said one time

"Yeah, the undead can't cross the twig of a wild rose"

"That is what you learn when you read too much of those spooky stories" Gary teased

"The game's fun, but it kind of moves along at a snail's pace" Lucas said as he fired a couple of roses towards the zombie children

Drew goes down to the basement, but the door slams shut and separates him from the other players "Hey!"

"Drew, are you OK?" Leaf asked in slight concern

"I'm good" he said as Gary was heard soon after "Are you in those tunnels again man? Because there is actually no action down there. The doors are locked"

The green haired boy rolled his head "Well, they're open now. You know what, I'm going to go and explore" he told everyone, who sweat dropped

Meanwhile upstairs, May and Ash suddenly find themselves both in a secret passage way "Hey Ash, what's that over there?" she asked the raven haired teen

"What's what?" he said confused, until May pointed at the wardrobe. Ash slowly made his way over towards the dresser and saw what it was May had seen

"Wow May, you got good eyes" he told her, not noticing as she blushed at his comment

"What'd you two find?" asked Dawn eagerly

"A diary" Ash replied as Lucas turned to look at the two "You mean-"

"Yeah. The one from the beginning with the prayer in it" May confirmed

Meanwhile, back in the basement, Drew tries to find a way out until he suddenly finds a torture room full of undead girls. Scared, he throws down the rose which dispels the spirits "Man this is something that looks straight out from hell" he said after calming down, until a shadow passed by him. He turned around, but saw nothing their

However once he turned back he saw something coming towards him "Ummm guys, there's something making its way towards him"

"You'd better drop a rose" Lucas said seriously

"You're right, I'll... I'm out of goddamn roses!" he said in a frightened tone

Drew tried to run away, but suddenly the door in front of him closed. He turned back around only to be met to be met with the ghost of Elizabeth, who had a sword in her hand and went to decapitate him as the words "Game Over" appeared on the screen

"Damn it... I died" he said as he took off his headphones

"One of the girls?" Ash asked, while pausing the game and saving his progress

"No. It was some woman, and I think it was the woman from the painting. You know, that countess. You know, I didn't even get a chance to fight her" Drew said with a sigh

"OK, where's the torture chamber?" Dawn said, as she saw May copying Ash and went to save her progress too

"I went through a secret entrance by accident you know" the green haired teen said in a monotone voice

"Hey, are you gonna try and get back in the game?" Gary asked as he followed everyone else's lead and saved the game

Drew shrugged in response "Maybe. It'll depend if I can make time for Wednesday, then I'll be back in the game"

Ash turned towards the clock and saw it was 8:30pm "We should start cleaning up, Red or my mom will be back any minute now and I can't let them see the house like this" he said and motioned at the messed up living room

"8:30! Wish I could help Ashy-boy, but I promised gramps I'd help him with some research of his" Gary said getting his stuff and was out of the house in 45 seconds. Unfortunately Dawn, Lucas and Drew also had to leave as the trio had a 9:00 curfew and did not wish to be grounded for the rest of their lives

Ash turned to the only two girls left. May noticed the dejected look on his face and moved over towards his side "I'll stay and help you out Ash, it's the least I can do after all"

Leaf nodded in agreement as she too made her way over towards them and soon after about 15 minutes the living room was back to being crystal clear. Ash waved Leaf goodbye as May had told him she would be staying for the night and both teens slowly drifted off to sleep on each other's shoulders, not noticing when Red got back as he gently put a blanket over them both and turned the volume of the TV lower to not wake them up

Author's Note: And the first death is the game has been revealed. If any of you have watched the movie, than you know what the next chapter will be like. Sorry for a long wait, I kinda forgot about this story since I wanted to update Outbreak. Anyway, I put small AdvanceShipping moments and also killed of Drew in a sort of cliché way, but still I wanted him to die 'in the game' first anyway and went with a simple decapitation instead of being stabbed in the neck like the movie. Anyway till the next chapter... which hopefully won't take such a long time 😅
P.S I used Lavender Town instead of the setting from the movie to make it more Pokemon style and because in Pokemon, Lavender Town is said to be the creepest town
