Level the Playing Field

Ash, May, Gary, Leaf and Red all stared at the house before them

"Man talk about creepy" Leaf commented

"Let's go" Ash said as everyone but Gary started walking towards the house

"You guys go on. I'll stay out here and play the game" he said much to their shock

"Do you have a death wish?" May screamed

"No, he's crazy" Leaf said

"Gary! You could literally die!" Ash exclaimed, grabbing his childhood friend tightly

"You're forgetting that she plans on killing us either way. She's a psychotic killer and if I'm playing the game, then you'll at least have a better chance at following Ash's plan" Gary seriously stated at the 4 teens all sighed and with great reluctance agreed

"Just don't die" was all Ash said as Gary nodded and with that the group left him on his own

Once inside, they all looked around... but everything seemed fine, like it was a normal house

"Maybe it's best we split up. Teams of two" Red suggested

"Haven't you been listening" Ash argued

"Do you want to find this psycho or not? We split up and find her faster" Red continued and Ash once again knew that like Gary there would be no talking him out of this idea

"Ash, May, you go upstairs. Leaf and I will stay down here" Red said as everyone nodded and soon split ways, wishing each other luck

Ash & May
The two teens made their way upstairs, with May suggesting they go to the room in which the diary was found. She had thought that maybe some sort of clue into the death of the ghost would be revealed

Ash wasn't as convinced that they would find anything, but still went along with the idea as they went inside the room

Inside the room were many severed doll heads and even blood from who knows when smeared on the wall. May had to look away before she threw up at the sigh

Ash on the other hand ignored the graphic scene before him and went to searching the room. The faster they get this over with, the faster they can leave this room of horror

Gary (with Leaf & Red)
The brunette was currently playing the game just as he said he would. He was just wandering around trying to see if he could find anything that could be of use for everyone else in this quest. On the top of the list were those roses that he remembered both Ash and Leaf saying would affect ghosts. He still couldn't believe that the Countess was a freaking ghost that wanted to kill them all

However, his attention was soon on the backyard, his mind remembering important information that he realized could be of use and called Leaf since she was first on the list

"Gary? Don't tell me you died"

"No! You guys have to head outside or at least look out a window!" he said and could hear her sigh as she told Red to look out a window

"Is that a tower?" Red's voice was faintly heard as Gary nodded until remembering he was talking through voice call

"If memory serves right, then she should be in there. Didn't it say she was impression there or something along those lines"

Back with May
The duo had decided to split up again to cover the entire upstairs floor. Ash had wanted to stay with May should anything happen, but the brunette had made it clear that she doesn't want to be a burden and that she would be fine on her own

So now May finds herself in the horror room alone, still looking for clues. Unfortunately for her, she hadn't noticed the object before her and as a result watched as the table fell over

May jumped back, but at least didn't scream. She could hear Ash faintly shout if she was alright which she replied that she was. Everyone had fallen from the table, including the diary as she picked it up

However, suddenly the light started to flicker and footsteps could be heard. At first, she thought it was Ash coming back, but then she put two and two together

'Don't tell me! Did she hear me?!'

The room was starting to get colder and May felt as something pushed her into a wall, her hand colliding with something sharp and causing it to bleed

She wanted to scream for Ash, but try as she might, couldn't make a noise. Tears were seen starting to well up in her eyes as she heard the footsteps even closer than before

'I don't want to die! I shouldn't have let Ash leave me on my own!'

May soon felt a hand touch her and saw a pair of scissors before her eyes

Leaf & Red
The two teens were about to make their way outside, when Gary's voice was heard once again

"Hey guys" he started saying

"We're going outside don't worry" Leaf said, thinking that is why he sounded the way he did

"No Leaf, May's in trouble!" he exclaimed as both teens froze

"What do you mean she's in trouble? Ash is with her right?" Leaf demanded as she did a 180 turn and was about to head back in when they heard a scream, followed by Ash's voice yelling for May

Leaf wanted to go upstairs, but Red held her in place "Don't! If we go up there, we'll only end up causing more trouble"

"We can't just leave them to face this alone!" Leaf argued back angry that Red would even think about leaving... only she saw the expression on his face

"Believe me when I say I don't want to, but I know Ash well enough that if we go up there and something happens to us... he will do anything, even die if it means saving us. With May as the only one he needs to worry about now, he has more a chance at getting out than he would have with all of us" Red explains and Leaf sighed as she could slightly see his point and the two continue their way outside

Ash and May
"MAY!" Ash screamed after hearing her terrified shout as he rushed back to where he had left her and hoped that he would arrive just in time

'I shouldn't have left her alone! What the earth was I thinking leaving May! She's a freaking ghost! What can she do to defend herself!'

Finally arriving back where May was, Ash's eyes widened at seeing the ghost about to bring down the scissors onto May

He knew that she was a ghost, but that didn't stop Ash from literally throwing himself at May just as the scissors grazed his jacket

May looked at him with an expression of pure disbelief as Ash shrugged and grabbed a hold of her hand, his other one getting ahold of his phone and calling Gary

"Gary! We need your help. ASAP!"
