Keefe's POV:

The next morning, I got a hail from Grady. Apparently, he'd gotten a hail from Sandor about what Ro saw last night. He told me to come to Havenfield with Sophie, so he could talk to me. All of a sudden, I was really nervous.

Sophie's POV:

I woke up to a light pressure on my lips. I opened my eyes, it was Keefe.

I kissed him back, then mumbled, "Keefe. It's too early, go back to sleep," I mumbled, tired.

"Actually, Foster, it's 10 am," he said. I groaned and rolled over.

We'd been up very late last night, figuring things out. We were now official. "I got a hail from Grady, he wants to talk to me," Keefe said, "Come on, he'll be livid if we're not there soon," he said, pulling me into a kiss.

I marveled at how he definitely didn't have morning breath. Then I sighed, "Okay, okay. You're right, I'll get up."

After I was ready, we leaped to Havenfield. Grady was waiting in front of the Leapmaster.  "Keefe, come with me," he said gruffly, with a tone I was afraid of, and left without a word.

Keefe's POV:

Foster squeezed my hand, I squeezed back, then shakily followed Grady to his office. "Sit down," he said, motioning to a hard-looking chair in the corner.

I sat. "Now, what exactly happened last night?" he asked, glaring at me. I blurted out the whole story including how I felt when Sophie and Fitz were dating and when we were still fighting the Neverseen, no mesmerizing needed.

When I finished, I looked at him, trying to gauge how mad he was. But he didn't look mad. Instead, his eyes looked a little misty.

"Okay, Keefe. You seem all right." then his gaze hardened, "There are a few rules though, 1. You and Sophie may not go to each other's houses alone, and only in broad daylight. 2. NO PDA where I can see it. 3. If you hurt her, I'll hurt you." he finished, clearly trying to scare me.

"Yes, sir." I nodded fervently.

"You may go now," he said, gesturing to the door. I've never been so glad to leave a place in my life.
