Joyce's POV

I walk into Elliot's room where he is lying in bed staring at his ceiling. I go and lie down next to him.

"Are you ready for hugs mommy?" he asks me.
"Yes baby"

He snuggles up to me and has the sweetest smile on his face.

"Elliot"
"Mhmmm"
"I'm pregnant, do you know what that means?"
"Not really"
"It means mommy is going to have a baby and you'll have a little brother or sister" I explain
"Will the baby have the same daddy as me?"
"No, this baby's daddy is Hopper"
"That's good. I don't like my daddy. He hurt you"
"I know. But don't worry I'm fine"
"Why can't Hopper be my daddy as well?"

But before even waiting for a response from me Elliot had run off into the living room where Hopper was waiting for me to watch a movie.

"HOPPER!!!"
"Hey little man, you alright?"
"Why can't you be my daddy!?"

I stand in the doorway kind of nervous about how Hopper will react.

"Is that what you want kiddo?" Hopper asks.
"Yes! Then me and the baby can have the same mommy and daddy. And you're basically my daddy anyway. All you have to do is live here now!"
"As long as your mommy is ok with it, I'd love to be your dad"
"Yay! And you'll live with us?"
"Well, Karen does live here as well so we might have to find a new place but if you ask your mom, we could all move in together"
"Yesssssssss!!!"

Elliot comes running back to me;

"Mommy! Did you hear!?"
"I did baby, but I'm going to have to talk to Karen before we decide anything ok?"
"Ok!"

"Where is Karen anyway?" Hopper asks me.
"She's coming back tonight. She was staying with her parents and had to stay longer to sort some things out"
"Alright then, if Karen's not here..." he smiles at me.
"You know what, I would love to, but my- our 5 year old son is in the next room"
"Eh, he's almost 6" Hopper laughs as I come and sit down on the sofa next to him.
"Hey" I say "There's supposed to be some new tv show on tonight, we could watch that"
"What's it called?"
"FRIENDS I think"
"Let's check it out, any one that I would know in it?"
"Errr have you watched Family Ties?"
"Yeah"
"Well Courteney Cox is on it"
"Oh my god I love her!" Hopper says excitedly.
"I'm sorry who do you love?"
"Oh. I'm so sorry. You. Joyce I didnt mean it seriously"
"Relax, I'm messing with you"

I cuddle up to Hopper and he kisses me on the head. God, I love this man so much.

A/N So yeah bit of a short chapter but I'm watching MHA at the same time so I was kinda distracted.
