You wake up to the sound of your alarm next to your bed, its Tuesday and you have to do school work. You grab your phone and start scrolling through your notifications and gettinh google classroom open, you see that jeni has messaged so you open it first, you always looked forward to talking to her, but you've noticed you actually look forward to her messages recently which makes sense considering she's your best friend.

as you grabbed your bag your phone started to buzz, jeni was calling you. You immediately answered "heyy" you got back to your desk and propped up your phone to see the brunette on the other end smiling at you "hii! Sorry i called so quickly i just missed talking to you haha" you smiled and said it was okay, in all honesty you missed her too. Although being best friends you and jeni have never met in real life, no particular reason, it just never came to conversation.

"Finally!" She yelled as she closed her laptop "school sucks ass, especially math like who the fuck invented numbers?" You laughed at her as you closed your laptop and put your stuff away "im probably going to get into makeup now, i haven't done a look in ages" she exclaimed as she got up bringing her phone with her "do you want me to stay on call?" You asked, you new the answer but you just wanted to hear her say she wants you there.. for some reason, "you know i want you to, if you wouldn't mind" she replied you simply nodded and obliged.

You get into bed, still on call with her as she got ready to do her makeup. She's so talented, you have always admired her talent and her makeup skills, though it didn't stop at makeup, she was an amazing artist and had an angelic voice, you loved hearing her sing or when she would send you her art, it made your day. Your thinking was interpreted by jeni "so what are your plans for next month?" She says as she turns to her phone, awaiting your answer but she was only met with a puzzled look "whats happening next month?" You replied, but your words were only met with laughter "are you serious?" You only replied with another confused face "omg you're serious" she exclaimed, "seriously jen im really not on board with this one" "n/n (nickname) it's literally your 15th birthday next month" the brunette replies, still slightly shocked but humoured, "ohhh yeah i actually completely forgot, i don't have anything planned, i think im just gonna stay in" you said casually. Jeni wasn't having any of it "come onnnnn its your birthday you have to do something n/n" she says, her south-west English accent echoing in your ears "jen theres literally nothing i can do, all my friends are online and i am NOT going out with my family" you say, thinking about how your family always seems to find a way to embarrass you "well we could always meet up you know, its the beginning of summer break so im sure it's fine" she says casually, you stop in your tracks "w-what really? Don't joke and get my hopes up jen" you say, assuming shes only playing "im serious, you could come and stay with me for a week" she says, deadpan. There's a moment of silence, mainly you just processing her words until your brought back to the conversation by jeni "unless you dont want to, that's okay im just putting things out there" she says, sounding slightly hurt, you hear the hurt in her voice and immediately feel guilt set in "no n-no id love to, i just had to process it thats all" you say as you watch her face light up "really? Oh ok cool omg i thought you didn't want to for a second haha" she replies, smiling to herself "yeah id love to, i just have to ask my mam first but im sure she'll let me" you as you quickly get up and go ask your mother

You walk into the living room, your dads in work and your mother is sitting alone watching TV "hi love" she says as you walk in "hello" you say sitting next to her "you know how its my birthday next month" you say, not taking your eyes off the television "yeah?" She says, doing the same
"Do you think i could meet up with a friend?"
"What friend?"
"Uh jeni, you know the one who lives in England"
"Hmm.. i don't see why not, how long will it be?"
"About a week or something like that"
"Will you miss school?"
"The the beginning of summer break"
"Can i have her mams number? So we can talk about times and to know if your safe when your there"
"Yeah I'll go and ask her now, I'll text you it"
"Okay love"
"Thank you, i love you"
"I love you too"
And with that you run back upstairs to tell jeni, the second your in view she starts talking "what did she say?" "She said its fine as long as she has your mams number" you reply, smiling "oh ok cool, I'll go ask my mum if i can giver you her number" the brunette says as she gets up and leaves, you sit there waiting, still smiling, you can finally meet your best friend and get to actually touch her (not like that you freaks) you can hug her, hold her, see her gorgeous face in person, your thinking was stopped by a loud "MUUUMMMMM" coming from off screen on the other end, you laugh as you hear jeni desperately call for her mother, you knew her mother would be okay with it but you just needed clearance, you could tell jeni was excited, the way her face lit up was so cute. Jeni came back, smiling at her phone as she sat back down "she said its fine ill message you her number now" she exclaimed in an exited tone, your phone buzzed as you got the notification, you sent it to your mother and carried on watching jeni do her makeup. As she finished she turns to you "well?" She says, awaiting your critique "stunning as always" you reply, she did always look beautiful, makeup or not she looked as if she was sculpted by the gods, she was perfect. She got up and grabbed her ipad "is it okay if i call you on here instead? So i can film tiktoks on my phone?" She asks "yeah sure" you reply, ending the call then immediately getting called back, still in the same position as before

*2 hour time skip*
You watch as jeni starts to take her makeup off, its around 1am which is usually where you both end up going to bed, she rinsed her face and turned her camera off to get changed, she wore a vintage looking night gown, she always looked her best even for bed, this was one of your favourite pieces, it suits her perfectly, she almost looks like a doll in it "on brand again are we?" You say, smiling, she looks up at you, lost "hm?" Is her only reply, in a soft sleeping voice, "you look like a doll in that jen, you know doll, dollsoup??" You say, clearly things up, she only laughs "its cute thought, i like that one" you say without thinking, you smile to yourself as you get ready for bed, missing the rose tint appearing on jenis cheeks.

You both get into bed and stay on call, this is how most nights go, you and jeni, talking about nothing as you slowly drift off, but all you could think about was meeting her, it sucked that it was so long away, but it would be worth the wait, to finally meet jeni.
