It had been a few weeks, a few more villages and a small town had been wiped from the map.
Sitting on your throne, Conrad sat in a smaller one made specially for him.
"(Y/N)?" The boy asked.
"Hm?"
You turned around and faced him, his golden eyes bore into your own. Conrad raised a hand and pointed to the top of his head.
"Am I allowed a crown too?" He asked.
You smiled softly, reaching up, you took yours and placed it on his head. It was too big and fell a little.
"If you want one then of course little prince, you can have mine until yours is ready. What colour would you like?"
"I want it likes yours..." he whispered.
You smiled and waved your hand to a nearby demon who quickly jogged over.
"May you make a crown exactly like mine please?"
"Of course." The demon bowed.
She quickly scurried away and you smiled towards Conrad, adjusting the crown on his head.
"Thank you." He whispered.
"You're much welcome."
Conrad beamed as went back to reading his book while occasionally adjusting your crown on his head.
You went back to glancing at the letter in your hands, Wisp said that the drink that was being made to hopefully make your memories return would be finished either that day or tomorrow.
While you waited you occupied your time reading the letter that Levi wrote you again and again, hoping it would do something.
"You're very fascinated by that." Wisp said.
You looked up watching him closer. He smiled at Conrad but the red haired boy quickly hid behind your throne, still not very trusting of other people or demons.
"I wonder if I wrote something back to him, or if I wrote something first." You mused.
"Well, thankfully we can hopefully find out. Here."
Wisp handed over a bottle, inside was a disgusting looking liquid and it smelled just as bad making you wrinkle your nose.
"It's not the best I know." He chuckled, "they said it could take anywhere from a week to a few months to see if it worked and there's no guarantee it will."
You nodded and took a deep breath, you quickly downed the foul liquid and handed the bottle back to Wisp.
"That's disgusting."
"I warned you." He chuckled again.
Shaking your head at him, you reached a hand behind your throne, wiggling your fingers.
A much smaller hand wrapped around your own and he made his way around the throne shyly, keeping his gaze trained to the floor.
"It's okay Conrad." You said gently, "it's just about lunch. What would you like?"
You lifted him up and sat him in your lap, leaning down so you could hear him whisper.
"Can I have a sandwich...?"
"Of course you mag little prince." You turned to Wisp, "can you have someone make his favourite sandwich and bring it to my office?"
"Anything for my lady and her little prince." Wisp bowed.
Conrad looked up with a little smile, when Conrad stood and smile the boy quickly looked away.
You lifted Conrad up and begun to walk down the halls with him in your arms as you took him back to your office with you.
"Work time?" Conrad asked.
"Unfortunately so, I have a few people who have asked me for things."
Conrad nodded and ran across the room when you set him on the floor, taking your chair.
Laughing, you perched yourself on the edge of the desk and picked up a few papers that had been left there for you.
Human request for demon deal: Aveneta, 14, requests a demon to get back at her bully's.
"Tsk, some people are just foolish." You sighed.
Grabbing your quill, you quickly scribbled on the page.
Request denied, reason being that is not a acceptable use of a demons powers.
Setting it down, you carried on with the next few requests you had been given, all of which got denied.
"Peter!" You called.
The demon appeared before you, his black hair covering his eyes.
"Yes my lady?" He said softly.
"May you pass these along to the head office, it's the requests that have been waiting."
"Certainly, is that all?"
"Indeed it is, thank you."
Peter bowed and left leaving it just you and Conrad.
Padding over to the window, you clasped your hands behind your back and gazed outside. You could see demons milling about doing their own thing and it made you smile.
There was a knock on your door making your turn around. Wisp held a plate for Conrad though his face looked horrified.
"We've got a situation."
