Chapter 24

You spent another week resting, Otis and Wisp had condemned you to bed rest until your wounds were fully healed.

They brought you food, drinks, books, anything your asked for you unless it was work related.

Now you could happily roam about your castle without worrying about re-opening any of your wounds and without anyone nagging your to go back to bed.

"(Y/N)! (Y/N)!" Conrad cried running up to you.

Grinning your knelt down and swept him into your arms as he jumped at you.

Standing up, you started to walk with him.

"What's up little prince?" You asked.

"Gabriel said he's going to take me to the mountains! But he said I had to ask you!"

You hummed and thought, while thinking the blue haired angel came bounding up to you with a grin on his face.

"Come on~ it'll be nice~" he sang.

"Gabriel, he's a human, you remember what's out there?"

"I won't let anything happen to him, you know that!"

You still weren't sure, although the titans couldn't get up that high you didn't want to risk anything happening to Conrad, but at the same time you didn't want to stop him from having fun.

"Fine, but if there's ANY danger you bring him back. Also be back soon because I have a meeting scheduled."

"Awesome sure thing!" Gabriel cheered.

"Yay! Thank you mom!"

Everyone froze, including Conrad, he looked scared as you connected eyes with him.

"I'm sorry!" He squeaked shrinking away.

Leaning forward, you kissed the top of his head and smiled sweetly.

"Don't be, you're my son after all. My little prince, now go have fun."

"Yay!"

Conrad hugged you before jumping into Gabriel's arms and they were gone.

"You're such an odd being." Lucifer mused.

He was leant against a wall, his arms crossed until you walked in front of him and his steps fell in line with your own.

"He deserves someone to love him, he's a sweet and loving boy."

"You deserve someone to love you as well. You know full well those humans will find you."

You sighed and shrugged.

"I don't deserve it and I won't put it past them."

"(Y/N), you've been alone for far to long. Let yourself be happy."

"Why? I don't deserve happiness, and even if I did, it would end in heartache. They're all human, bound to die at some point or else."

"Don't be so negative, you know just as well as I do you can change that."

"What if they didn't want me too? I wouldn't change something without permission, and either way it would still end in heartache, one can only be immortal for so long."

Lucifer sighed and shook his head.

"Put yourself first, this is the first time you've ever loved someone, human or not. This is the first time you've had the chance to love someone, because you always pushed them away. These are the right humans for you, you just need to stop being so stubborn and realise that."

You walked into the throne room and took a seat on your throne while Lucifer stood in front of you.

"Lucifer, I love you, but please drop it."

He raised his ands and nodded his head sadly.

"Okay, I will."

With that he left, he knows that you told all the demons not to tell the humans where you were. But he wasn't an angel, he wasn't bound by your rules, so he quickly left your castle and entered another, feet pounding down the halls as he headed towards two familiar offices
