"Where the actual fuck have you been?"

Nina glared at me with her lips pursed. "You've been missing for three fucking days. Do you know how worried we all were?"

My mouth opened and I looked through the files in my brain for a response but they all came up blank. I had no memory of the past few days at all. When I first woke up, it took me a while to even remember what a memory was.

I still don't think I fully understood the concept. I mean what was a memory? Perhaps I had delved into the realm of thinking too much about something, but honestly.

What is a memory?

It can't just be some facility of the brain where things are kept at all times. If it was, when I was going through my mental filing cabinet, I would've found something to say to Nina. But there was nothing.

And yet, I still had thoughts in the back of mind that would not shut up and I still got nostalgia when I saw Nina's hot pink scrunchie because it reminded me of seventh grade and the "Bratz" movie.

I bit my lip at the thought.

The "Bratz" movie.

Typical cliche teenagers.

"I was sick."

That seems like a normal excuse.

Nina looked at me, completely unconvinced. Her eyes trailed to the white bandage on my head to the corner of the one on my neck. No matter how hard I tried to pull up my turtle neck, it would not stay and the bandage would remain partially visible.

"Really?" she quirked a brow at me.

I nodded and bit the inside of my cheek.

Oh memory, oh sweet memory.

Where art thou?

All I clearly remembered was the feeling I had after the biting conversation with my mother, running into the woods, and a wolf with bright blue eyes.

Alexander?

My throat dried and my cheeks flushed when I saw him walk up to us and stand behind Nina. I hugged my pastel pink binder closer to my chest and tried to ignore the sweat building up under my pits and in my palms. I really hope I remembered to put on deodorant.

James entered the scene and stood behind Nina. He set down his bag and brought his hands back up to fix the strap of her shirt that was twisted before picking his bag back up again.

"Hey Corvina. Glad you're back," He nodded at me.

"You look like you need a nap," Alexander cut in.

The sound of his voice startled and I jumped a little, though I'm not sure why. I knew he was there. I looked up to meet his eyes and my mind went completely blank, again.

God his eyes are so blue.

I like.

"You have really pretty eyes," I breathed out, still completely entranced by the swirls of blue and gold.

Alexander looked taken aback for second. His eyes widened the slightest bit, I'm not sure if anyone else noticed, and his cheeks visibly became a light shade of pink.
