I barely got any sleep the night before mom was due, I was way too excited for my baby brothers entrance into the world. Too excited to hold him, to see his face and find out if he had the same whiskers I did. I wanted to show him cool jutsu and hear more laughter in the house when I woke up. I knew that he would be yet another reason to wake up and start the day. I would take the best care of him, no matter if I was helping him learn to walk and talk or maybe teaching him how to write and telling him about the stars. I would make sure he knew how valuable our family was, make sure he understood how precious mom and dad were and how lucky we really were to have such amazing parents.

I woke up after only a few hours of sleep and silently went about making breakfast, knowing mom and dad were getting as much sleep as possible. Dad was the first one up and he looked thankful the breakfast was already made as he leaned heavily in the doorway of the kitchen

"Thank you pumpkin, it looks delicious" He said and I grinned widely, skipping over to wrap my arms around him

"Are you excited? Because I'm super excited" I cheered listening to his chuckle as he slid his large hands under my arms as he moved to lift me up.

"I am, although I don't miss hearing your mother in so much pain" He muttered tiredly and I frowned leaning away in his arms so I could look at him

" Does it hurt that bad? Mom never seems hurt" I asked worriedly, I didn't want to hear mom cry or scream. I mean it was funny to hear her yell at dad after he taunted her, but if it was a painful I could live forever and still not want to hear her like that

"It must be awful, it's a rare occurrence when Kushina even gasps in pain" he said with a shudder and I felt anxiety build up in my stomach as I wrapped my arms tight around dad's neck. His arms tightened around me gently at first then he gave me a squeeze that pulled the air from my lungs and a gentle rub at the back of my head

"Don't worry about that though, because we will be there to make her feel better" He announced confidently and I muffled a sound of agreement into my arm

"Hey will you be around when I give birth?" I asked as he leaned over to put me down in my chair

"If you want me to, but by then you will have a husband to be by your side" He pointed out as he grabbed the plates I had set up and brought them over to the table for us. I stuck out my tongue almost upon instinct hearing about boys

"I don't want a husband, as long as you're around I will be happy forever" I said easily and he threw his head back with laughter that made pure glee bubble up in my stomach

"I love you Amina, you are so precious to me. If you keep being so sweet and cute I won't even let you get a husband, you are far too good for anyone but me and your mother to have" he said reaching across to pat my head and I grinned at the feeling of his warm hand buried in my hair

"That's okay daddy, I love you so much too! I'll always be Pumpkin okay!" I called excitedly, through my teeth unable to contain my grin enough to speak clearly. He smiled back at me brightly, I loved mornings at my house. I couldn't wait for Naruto to be here too

"Minatooo.. Can you help me" mom whined from the stairs and he immediately jumped out of his chair

"Coming" He responded as he quickly made his way to her. A moment later they both reappeared, mom was huge to the point she waddled everywhere.. It was actually pretty funny but to me it seemed that she enjoyed dad being at her beck and call

"Thank you Amina" she said as she plopped down in her chair that creaked dangerously under her weight

"Mhm you have lots to do today so I wanted to help" I mumbled around a bite of eggs.
