Chapter 6: How Love Works

You wake up gasping for air, you look around and you're in your room. Was that real or a dream? You thought, your mom comes barging in,
"You haven't been out of your room is 4 days, and- ew you stink too." So it wasn't a dream. You got up and smelled your shirt, ew you really did stink. You hopped in the shower when your room started to ring, you ignored it, but it wouldn't stop. You finished your shower and checked and it was Peter. You called back,
"What's up?"
"That was real right?" You sigh,
"Yes it was real, Pete.."
"Okay, so I wasn't dreaming?"
"No, you weren't dreaming."
"Okay, um.. wanna hangout later?" You can't help but smile,
"I would love to Pete."
"Great! Cya soon!" He hangs up. You quickly get changed in your cutest outfit. You're chilling on your bed when you hear a tap on your window and you smile, you walk over and you stumble back, it's Tony. You open your window,
"What do you-" he climbs in and shoved you,
"Okay just walk on in.." Tony sits on your bed, another tap on your window, you turn and you back up again, it's Steve, you lock the window this time. Tony gets up and unlocks it for him. Steve walks in, you back up into your dresser, Peter climbs through your window,
"Why not invite the whole crew?" You rolls your eyes, but then go to hug Peter. Tony and Steve look at you and Peter.
"So what are you guys doing?" You look at Tony,
"Nothing, we just want to hangout here.." Tony clears his throat. You look at Peter,
"Okay let's go then?" Peter nods and walks you out. Tony and Steve follow then you push them back,
"My mother can't know that two old men were in my bedroom!" Tony gives you a concerned look,
"Old?" Steve asks,
"Go through the back!" You push them back. You and Peter walk out the front, your mom stops you,
"Peter! I haven't seen you in so long!" She gives him a big hug. Peter awkwardly laughs and you try to tug him away.

You and Peter are walking on the street when you guys see Liz in the cafe across from you. You look at Peter and he's already turning the other way. You guys start to speed walk when you guys see Tony in the distance. You guys turn right and start running at this point.
"What the hell is happening?" Peter asks,
"I don't even know man." You guys hide in an alley and Peter picks you up. You look at him,
"Peter no.." too late he's already climbing up with you. You guys sit on the roof and just chill there.
"Were we followed?" You ask Peter,
"Nah.." You and Peter are on your backs and you face eachother. Words slip out of your mouth,
"I like you.." he sits up,
"You like me?"
"I like you more than a friend, more than a bestfriend, Peter I really like you." You sit up, Peter looks forward and just stares into the distance, instant regret hits you. You don't know how to take it back, you just sit there and stare at him. He stands up and starts going down the ladder. You stare into the distance now, this is not happening right now.. you sit still and don't know what to do.
