Ellie's POV
Dad and Justin are coming today. They just randomly decided to visit. Why? Not sure. Especially since they are coming back for the wedding next month.
We convinced Sasha and Mason to live here until after the wedding. Sasha has been crazy with finals, and Mason has been busy with his own things. I think they were actually a little relieved. Having built-in cooks, maid services, and babysitters is probably amazing.
I'm rushing around, trying to get my house perfect.
"Why are you killing yourself?" Taylor asks, annoyed.
I chuckle and roll my eyes. "I don't know. They always have something to critique. I don't want it to be about my housekeeping."
"Ellie, this house is always immaculate. Dare I say, almost too immaculate. How could you possibly find more to clean?"
"Hush you, and mop that floor" I say, smacking his butt harder than I intended.
"Ouch. No need to abuse your husband. A simple 'honey, will you help?' Would have sufficed, missy."
"Honey, will you help?" I ask with a sweet smile.
"I guess" he grumbles as he does what I've asked.
Dad and Justin are staying with Jake for the weekend. Poor Sarah!
"Crap!" I say loudly, gaining the attention of everyone.
"What?" Taylor asks.
"Once those two move out, we have to tear out the apartment."
Mason and Sasha look at me like I'm crazy. "That's a little rude, mom. We kept it clean."
"No, you crazy. Dad and Justin will stay with us from now on if we have an entire apartment for them to bunk in." I pout.
"Damn I never thought of that. Ellie, who do we know that could move in?" Taylor asks.
"Dang. This is dumb" I pout again. "You guys wanna live here forever?" I ask, smirking at them.
"No thanks" Sasha says too quickly.
"That's a little rude, Sasha" I say, imitating what she just said to me.
Jake gets here around 3, and he's cranky.
"What's wrong?" I ask.
"You're taking them from now on" he snaps.
"Why?"
"Because they're freaking lunatics." He yells, throwing his hands up in exasperation.
I look at Sarah, and she rolls her eyes.
"What happened?" I ask, looking at Jake.
"Oh, I'll tell ya, Ellie. Did you know that Sarah and I live in a dump? For as old as I am, I should have been able to upgrade by now."
"Who said that?" I chuckle.
"Your twin"
"Where are they? I thought they were riding with you."
"Oh no. Justin needed to pick up some vegan crap, because you never cater to his diet."
"I literally spent two hours making some tofu thing for him" I say, annoyed.
Jake just throws his hands up in the air, not happy. Then he slams down on the couch, pouting.
"No need to be so grouchy, Jacob Lee. We didn't do anything" I say sternly.
"Yes, mom" he snaps, turning back to the TV.
"Sorry. Justin has been brutal to him since this morning." Sarah whispers.
