Day 41 -- Riddle

I am the only thing that establishes the future before the past

Makes ryhme postliminary to reason

I do not place the foundation until after I have completed all.

Yet, the first are before the last.

Diligence still antecedes reward.

The beginning comes before the fall.

What am I?

Okay, so I tried to create my own riddle. Not sure how this is going to work. I tried not to make it too easy but with people like @dam_catching_potter, @PiMaster and @TimeladyInitiate, you never know. (Yes, I know my rhyming isn't the best, but it's a riddle not a poem. Pretty much, when you hang out with children of Apollo, especially if one happens to be your girlfriend, don't expect to be good at rhyming.)
