The god of the sun: he gave me his wand

I gave him my lyre.

To the god of the sky: I gave him my word

I'm no more a liar.

No more am I a thief, just god of thieves

What need have I to lie or cheat or steal?

I have tricks in my cape and up my sleeves

I have wings on my helmet and my heels.

I put wit on my tongue and in thy head.

But in the end it is all just a game

That's all you need to know my name.
